I'm seventy and have loved his music since the seventies. In my youth I could always find him playing somewhere around town and he was never disappointing we would always come home with smiles on our faces.

New Digital methods of Recording aided Classical Music stay afloat. Unfortunately... Punk didn't progress... till this day it's still the same sound that began in the mid 70s. While New Wave came out of that punk atmosphere and evolved into many forms that we have today.

Anyone remember The Love Inn in the Valley? The beer garden always stunk of vomit. Many good late nights spent there.
@bow53266 ай бұрын
YES! I remember (just lol) quite a few wild night at The Love Inn. One in particular I was tripping on LSD and somehow ended up sitting in the beer garden with a very large hotdog for company despite having no intention of eating the thing... Gawd knows how long I must have sat there just staring at the bloody thing ! 😵💫😹 Oh and the mirror in the lady's toilet I was scared to look in because I looked green in it hihihi😁 Good Times!
@Foul_Quince13 күн бұрын
We had a contest there one night with another band to see who could stomp the biggest hole through the rotten floor of the stage there. By the end of the night whoever stood centre stage would just sag into this abyss underneath them that had opened up. Eventually I am sure, the threadbare carpet that held everything up would have given way and some unfortunate would have plummeted into the underworld I am sure. I also broke my arm there one night slam dancing.

Brisbane had a thriving underground local music/alternative club scene in the mid to late 80's. It was a fantastic & exciting time to be a young adult. Who could forget Hades, The Love Inn, Club Voltaire & various other "dive" clubs, that were always packed.

The Sex Pistols we’re definitely trying very hard to be shocking, whereas the Ramones were as they are. A lot more real and weren’t trying to be anything they weren’t. One of these bands was manufactured, the other wasn’t 😉
