Brisbane had a thriving underground local music/alternative club scene in the mid to late 80's. It was a fantastic & exciting time to be a young adult. Who could forget Hades, The Love Inn, Club Voltaire & various other "dive" clubs, that were always packed.

I lived with Caroline Polley in Brissie who used to work at the Tube club doing lights. She told me that there was this great band called The Ups and Downs that she did lights for one night. She married Greg, moved to Sydney and had some kids. She plays guitar in Big Heavy Stuff now. Great days and fond memories. Top chick and good memories. Cheers Caroline.

OMG this is fantastic !!! Thanks for posting this. Golden days. So good to see Darren and Greg from Ups & Downs. They were one of my favourite gigs. Still have their record on vinyl. Does anyone know what ever happened to "Loves A Blur" ? I used to love that band as well.
