Honestly, those family shows were never my bag because they didn't translate to my birth family or any of the families in my neighborhood. I grew up with Beaver Cleaver, Dennis the Menace, Father knows best.... they just turned me off.

This show was terrible, it should have been called The Narcissist show. It's about people being irresponsible, narcissist that screw everybody's life up. The producers and writers should be under psych review, because they definitely need help. They must have seen the future back then because it describes a lot of people today, who are just entitled, mentally unbalanced , narcissistic people who feel that the world owes them and don't care who gets hurt . Worst acting ever.🔥🔥🔥🔥

I came across this treasure only this year through cable. For me, this was a real reality show, portraying real family life during the great depression. So far up from the so called reality shows we have now that aren't even worth watching.

The Walton’s is part of my growing up. Watched it from its beginning and still dvr weekday reruns. Own the complete dvd set with the movies too. I can’t even put into words how much they were and are a part of my life. Beautiful show. ❤️

I have a good friend who was a security guard on the Warner lot. On New Year’s Day 2000, he gave me a private tour. I saw the set of Central Perk, ER. In the back lot he took to the Walton’s house. I absolutely embarrassed myself. I literally began to tear up. It was such a thrill being on the front porch sitting on the steps. You would have thought I was visiting the Great Pyramids of Egypt. The show meant that much to me. 🙏🏿❤️

I watched the Waltons as a kid when it first aired and I've rediscovered it recently on the Hallmark channel. And it's even better now that I have a lifetime behind me to realize just how great this show is. The writing and acting is first rate as are the many guest stars that they had.
