This man should atleast tell us what he did with the hired-purchase car that he was able to pay back 6M after 9 months and very shockingly he was able to save within that period and bought a Car for himself. It is highly impossible to payback 6M and buy a Corolla within 9 months.
@DrCharlesApoki13 сағат бұрын
Hire purchase involves monthly payments. He used the vehicle for transport as you must have heard him say. If he paid off his monthly responsibility for 9 months ,he could return the car to the owner without paying the balance after making enough money to buy his own car. The owner was owing him money for servicing the car because servicing the car was the responsibility of the owner. I have been interviewing cab drivers over the years. Some make up to 200,000 naira per month. That's 1.8 million naira when fuel was cheaper. He can pay 1.8 million naira as deposit for another hire purchase and eventually pay a smaller monthly amount. The car becomes his own at a shorter period. That's how to maximize credit.These things are not rocket science or people dey talk sha😂😂! It is people dey determined sha! E- hailing business is profitable once you learn how to be disciplined and maintain cars. The car was bought for 3 million by Jude. I always advice young people to internalize information, analyze,personalize and practicalize the ideas instead of being cynical. God bless you sir.

@@DrCharlesApoki Thank you sir for your response, I am an ardent listener of your videos and messages, I download them daily and I have learnt a lot from you. I have been an Uber/bolt driver in Benin city for 5yrs, I know how the business runs. What he said was hired-purchased i.e balance and carry, not weekly balance. My colleagues who took hired purchase when a Corolla was 2.2M then to payback 3.5M, took like 2yrs to pay back, it is almost impossible to maintain car, take care of his family and pay back 6M within 9 months, except he had other sources of income to pay huge amount upfront. Anyway, I want to commend you for what you are doing, as a Warri boy myself I always enjoy listening to an "old Warri" dishing out street wisdom. I pray to meet you someday.
@kennedydafeakeh85739 сағат бұрын
@@paulavon8588 He did not pay back the ENTIRE 6M Sir. Only the portion that was his obligation for the 9 month. If he was to pay 6M in 2 years that would have meant he was paying 250k montly for 9 months. In a place like Lagos with high patronage, he could have been netting 400k monthly. If he chose to be disciplined and live off a second income (from his wife for instance), he would have made savings of N1.3M in that period, which would have put him in a better position to buy his own car outright (if it was a Nigerian used Corolla), or make a substantial down payment on another higher purchase vehicle with a better deal. Meanwhile, 400k net monthly in Lagos was not unrealistic for a committed driver if this happened around 3-5 years ago. I hope this clarifies Dr. Apoki's explanation.
