i got all the way to the end despite 3 or 4 non explained parts which i had to google and then on the last step it said there is no uv for my model. i dont know what anything is yet but i will say if your tutorials dont include the basic knowledge or all the steps your demographic can only ever be people who already know what they are doing in blender. with all the new ai stuff and all the improvements to engines and modeling software i think there is going to be a massive influx of new people to the arena, if u want those people as followers i would suggest you appeal to their needs else they will of course go to someone who does and really there arnt that many choices, if u did it u would corner the market so to speak potentially and ur making tutorials anyway u might as well

if you end up with black on your low poly texture when baking: what fixed it for me was under the Selected To Active section, using the extrude setting as well as the Max Ray distance. extrusion at 3" and Max Ray Distance at 4" seems to work for me for a human character. watch out for inside legs and under arms, which can look wrong if these are wrong.

This is a fantastic tutorial that teaches foundational concepts in a reproducible and educational way. I have watched hundreds of game dev tutorial videos at this point this is one of the most important ones I have found so far, i have come back to it multiple times now. Thank you so much for making this

It looks great. But I don't find a reason to make the line work in blender instead of taking a screenshot and go to photoshop. I think grease pencil is interesting to draw over the 3d model, so you can rotate the camera around the model and keep the lines.

For anyone who isn't having much success getting the armor modeling to look right, especially with the bevels, make sure you select the edges that are highlighted in blue in this video and select Edge -> Edge Bevel Weight and then just drag your mouse a bunch and click. Then in your bevel modifier you can select Limit Method: Weight and it should work better. Also make sure your modifier hierarchy is Bevel then Subdivision Surface and finally Mirror if its required.
