This kzbin.infoUgkx189x1GscJYlDVVw5SAQOfxIkqVvCs4xT changing pad is so convenient and multi-functional! I love the multiple zip pockets, that the 2 pieces unzip for ease of use, the straps make it easy to carry or connect to your car seat or stroller and is small enough to slip into a larger purse and the easy access to the wipes via a separate section. Really nice changing pad!

So what did mothers do about the poop for generations and generations before Pampers were invented in 1970s?! I used a large flannel diaper square that you FOLDED and used a diaper pin on each side. sold by the dozen they were $10 a pack. Folding and pinning a diaper was part of every new mommy's prenatal education besides how to burp and bathe a newborn. sometimes I used a prefolded diaper that tucked into a waterproof cover. My children are now well adjusted adults with adorable children of their own. No one was traumatized about poop.

Great video! Very descriptive and concise information. I used cloth with my youngest, who is now 8 for a very short period of time, toward the end of his diapering years, so I don't remember anything! I'm pregnant again, and have watched a few different videos to try to refresh my memory, but yours is by far the best , and I learned a lot of things I didn't know before. Also, Maddy is so adorable! I wonder what she looks like now! <3

I’m pregnant and going to cloth diaper our baby boy who will be here in 6 weeks. People keep saying “haha yeah ok, you don’t realize how gross baby poop is then” which i think is super disrespectful.

How many diapers fill up the pail liner before you wash? Just curious based on the size load to do in the washing machine.

Hello, thank you for this video. I'm expecting my first baby and I've always planned to cloth diaper but cloth diapers have changed since I first looked into them. Can you please tell me how many cloth diapers are typically needed for a day or two day period? Also, when you placed the new wipes in the wipe warmer, were they still damp from the wash or did you completely dry them first? Thank you!

Your tide detergent had an HE symbol on the front, but you don't have an HE washer. The cup seemed smaller than the regular tide detergent cups. I could be wrong but I just happened to see that

Hi. How hot is the hot water? It doesn't delaminate the diapers? so you dont do a prewash with soap but they get clean? Marker 2 on Tide is good for about 20 diapers and inserts?

This might be a stupid question but I really don't know. We are considering using cloth diapers but my main concern is poopy diapers. Do you literally just take diaper off and put in pail and then dump in the washer without any hand cleaning or removing anything? Any incite would be greatly appreciate! Thanks!

I have friends who CD (and my hubby and I are planning to) and they just take the poopy diaper to the toilet and scrape out there. There's an attachment you can get for spraying out a poopy diaper in the toilet :)

Most people get a sprayer like the one she showed at 1:15 or something similar. They spray off the poop and then put it in the diaper pail.

Love this video, extremely helpful!! My hubby and I are planning on starting a family and cloth diapers are something I feel extremely passionate about. I didn't know cloth wipes were a thing!! Do you have tips on traveling with cloth wipes? Or do you use the water wipes you mentioned? (Not a mom yet just trying to learn a day prepare as much as possible)

Omg, yes! I cloth diapered my daughter for 2 years and we never once had a poop blow out. I spent $800-$900 on my daughters cloth diaper stash. My daughter was allergic to most disposable diapers and the ones she could use were expensive. With an average amount of changes we would have spent around $1,600 to diaper her. My daughter had about 45-50 diapers when she hit 2. I sold everything off but our favorite (24 diapers). I was able to buy 25 newborn diapers and 6 more of our favorite One Size for baby #2. In total for this baby we spent about $200. So I should be saving money early off this time. I think our water bill goes up $10-$15 depending how much we are washing. That’s not even what half disposable diapers would cost us a month so we are still saving. Plus I never run out of diapers!

Do you unsnap the diapers before washing or can I leave them at the desired size?
@amandadsouza3767
@amandadsouza3767 6 жыл бұрын
Jacqueline Hyde you will have to have to unsnap the waist so all of the cloth in the diapers can be free and washes and dries better. I believe you can leave the front growth snaps intact as they won't effect the inside clothes from releasing.

I'm so glad to hear that you and your husband both work and still cloth diaper as that will be my situation as well. Unfortunately we cannot send cloth diapers to daycare so I'm bummed about that, but I still know we'll save at home with cloth. My question is about wipes--how many are in your stash?

We use disposable daipers when leaving for the day amd buy wipes in bulk. You can get 20 packs of 64 wipes for $20. In 4 months we have used a total of 10 packs. And we have 42 cloth daipers and a ton of inserts for $200 from a site that my fiances parents bought them from. Its pretty awesome. And so easy. Wash every other day in their own load.
