I know "you opened my eyes... When I was... Sleeping" is from Waffle but 30 years later it beyond fits the transition from the Emo feel of Diary "I dream... To heal your wounds but I bleed myself" of the evolution of a human being and their angst and confusion about not really yet understanding yet how the world works through The Rising Tide era of "getting it". The addition of that line in In Circles is genius but I mean... Have SDRE ever been anything other then genius level awareness? I sure hope we get 1 of these live 1 take versions of their albums over the next few years for those 30ths - maybe even 2024 SDRE re-recording "The Fire Theft" release and maybe even a ground up new record. I've been listening to music for as far as I can remember back of my 50 odd years on this plain of existence and SDRE has been one of the very few bands that has been a part of my life from the moment I first heard Seven on 120 Minutes and on WDRE on Long Island through my life's journey since and have no doubt will be with me till my river meets the sea. Those of us who know SRDE, I feel We are very blessed to live in the same timeline. They carry me across the sea, where I get to drink from fountains and taste the truth... Thank you SDRE. Then. Now. Forever.

I love SDRE. Tried to get a girl I liked to date me with this album when I was 16. Instead she hung out with my friend with a 1989 red mustang. 6 years after that I saw it at a concert and I think they changed genders. Thanks SDRE!

This song is as good as anything they've ever written. Just saw them in Philly for the Diary 30th anniversary and they fuckin absolutely killed it. The days were golden.
