Well, now the death screen makes sense, the background is a pocket watch spinning rapidly backwards. I always thought "I know what you are" was a reference to P being a puppet, even though we never got to talk to Mad Donkey.

The concept is essentially based on virus infection. The markers are the genetic materials, either some form of DNA or RNA, embedded into a living cell, hijack the living cell to replicate tonnes of the marker copies, and eventually burst out as a completed virus particles, and go on spreading to the next viable target. There's no paradox in it. That's mostly just how living things work in this world.

I love the concept of brethern moons, they arent good or evil, its just their life cycle, their reproductive cycle, thats what Reapers from Mass Effect should have been, i would love to see a future civilization that learnt to coexist with the moons, even seeking them for their ancient vast knowledge when needed, imagine them consulting with the moon that was creating by absorbing a planet of their own species, that moon would be like a grandfather for them, like a god of their own species, ot would have a huge cultural significance, and when the monolith find a new advanced species and the process of creating a new moon starts they wont interfere, they will let it do its work

You can actually trace back to some degree when they first appeared due to how many there are. I believe it was most likely an ancient species attempt at mutually assured destruction in a war with one or more species in the distant past.

For me the markers came first. I imagine an ancient civilization creating the first Marker for energy usage only to succumb to it's effect creating the first brother moon which then went on to create more brothers/moons like itself.

I feel like this can only work if the worst ending is cannon and you try to get your heart back in a future game. Honestly don’t see it since what he goes through is closer to what the book Pinocchio does than the tin man, but maybe a future game will prove you right. Maybe he’ll be both mixed together 🤷🏼‍♂️

I'm still not so sure if I believe the "P is Tinman" theory. To me, it just doesn't make much sense. If he's not Pinocchio, why does he have Gemini? Why is lying essential to him? The only thing that makes him similar to the tinman is that he keeps his heart.

I believe this is the best way to introduce a different timeline like this secret ending leading to different timelines for a rebooted franchise like a movie or a TV series spin-off.
