I just found your youtube channel and love your project it makes me think about the creatures...i love the stink hound and can see maybe in the future the reptiles evolve into fake dinos or heavy reptiles and maybe even turtles and samon sharks maybe come together to fist on fish or something its truly a world of wonder that makes you think Also i wonder how certain plants look like trees and such Maybe curious archive makes a video about it in the future when u become more famous It makes think of my own project that sucks because i dont know how to draw so my world of slugs is shit

i dont know how comments work so i dont know if i am supossed to comment this on one of the normal vids but my project is the amazing planet of lapara it is a specualtive evolution project where in the hopes of making a new suitable and better planet then earth since it was at risk of being destroyed they tried to send all the animals but they launched all the rabbits and hares and then they got information that the earth was not in danger and it was propaganda so they left the rabbits and hares there in a vast ecosystem including multipile biomes the middle is a GIANT AND I MEAN GIANT ocean bigger than all the water we have on earth this was a really big planet btw and the biomes are kind of set as like kind of a pizza slice where there seperated dont worry the desert isnt right near the artic biome or anything like that there kind of seperated enough so they dont mess with each other unless a creature is migraiting

I'm so glad to see color varients and exploration and depictions of the descendants' behaviors. thats the major thing that has bugged me with this new boom of spec evo, its more of just the speculatice linear progression but nature isn't just point A to point Z in a straight line. it branches and morphs and changes, there can be subspecies, multiple descendents, strange behavior adapted for certain situations, and more. I want to see more of that!! delve into each and every tint crevice of this world you're creating

How do you come up with such good designs? I like your take on otter descendants especially
@ryancoxart2 ай бұрын
@@BigBossMan538 Thank you! Honestly when it comes to creature design, the best source of inspiration is animals that already exist. Mother Nature kinda already took all the good designs lol. But building on that, I also have to ask myself what niche do I want the creature to fill, what kind of behaviors should it have, what does it eat, etc. Animals are shaped by their environment, and sometimes by arbitrary things like what females find attractive. There are countless species of birds especially that have such bizarre features like the tails on peacocks, just because that's what the females of the species find attractive in a mate. There are nearly endless sources of inspiration you can use when making up your own creatures :)

enjoying this project, but i think your being too conservatize with size changes. by this point rodents should be approaching rhinoceros size, and the weasels have long since been able to equal the size of the largest mammals of today.

I believe a new good spot to investigate would be the desert or mountain biomes you just mentioned at the start of the episode. After all, as biomes change, new niches open up for the inhabitants while old ones close up. I believe that the anoles' descendants would actually be quite suited to this area, with the little lizards managing to outcompete the runaroos in that biome specifically due to their ectothermy having a lower caloric upkeep requirement, taking their place as primary consumers in the hot, arid environment, and forming a foundation for larger mesocarnivores and apex predators to not just survive on, but thrive with among the bright sun and rocky soils of the hot desert.
