There is no way meeting AI agents will become the norm. It’s so unnerving joining a private meeting only to find a bot there recording everything.

*Literally* the first instruction you give (at 0:08:30), your video bubble covers up the option that we’re supposed to select - it looks like a calendar icon, and you say “a day tag for this workspace.” But I have a brand-new empty workspace that I just created and there is no such option. At the location where you seem to have chosen it, the option is “Remove from sidebar,” which is obviously not the same thing at all. No calendar icon, nothing about “day” or “tag.” Very frustrating.

Just FYI, you are watching a 10 month old video for guidance on an app that is releasing new updates weekly. Not everything is going to be the exact same... If you are still struggling to find your day node, in the left side bar there is a button with a calendar icon labeled "Today". If your sidebar is collapsed, all you will see is the calendar icon. Clicking this will open a brand new day node for your day with a #day supertag. If, for whatever reason, you don't see the #day supertag on your daily node, click the three dots on the right hand side and click "Add default day tag".

A few updates I found that might be helpful for others: - When you are configuring the #highlight super tag, the updated place to put the commands is under "AI and Commands," not Advanced. - I had trouble copying and pasting to reference the correct node. I found success instead by going to the destination where you were going to paste, pressing @, and then finding the referenced node. For example, in my first bullet above, to put in a button for the Get Topics, I went into AI and Commands, and under Command Palate, type @ and then select Get Topics. - It was unclear in the video how to get the generated topics auto-labeled as #topics. Here's how: go to your main workspace, click the three dots at the top right, and press open schema; you should see the Topic (s) listed. If you click that and open it, you should see a Supertag option, where you type in #topic. Then when you use the Get Topics button the results will be labeled with #topic

Have enjoyed using Tana, but this is a whole different level of complexity. Feel like you need to be some sort of genius engineer to figure out how to use all of these features effectively. And still Iimited by absence of a remotely functional mobile version (which is where I do the bulk of my note taking) vs. a capture mechanism, the fact that it is online only, and the fact that it is very difficult to export from (en masse anyway). I can’t use this for work for security reasons - so the meeting agent is not helpful to me (although I am sure it is helpful to the majority). Have also discovered that more features and more “efficiency” do not necessarily result in more or better work getting done or more knowledge acquired. Not helpful to me to have AI summarize things I need to learn - I need to summarize it so I can learn it. Guess I’m just an old stick in the mud 😂😂 Seems fascinating for those who have the time and brains to set up commands and supertags and calendar integrations with fancy commands - but I guess I will be sticking to simpler things. Great video!

Excellent work, thank you. One little issue though: I followed up on #highlight supertag as well, but now I do have of course 2 of those: the Readwise Reader and my own. What can I do to accomodate the doublette tag? Merging no longer is supportet by Tana. Thank you in advance for your help and have a wonderful day, Jochen

Thanks for the insight implementation. Love it. I have a question about the PARA. In your implementation, it looks like the area grandpa of project, i.e., project --> goal --> area. However, what I thought area should be a sibling of the project. Could you explain a bit on that? Thank you.

That way of making custom commands to make a copy of a whole node and put it somewhere, and making buttons associated with a tag to run that command is the greatest outlining tool I have ever seen, and I would never have known it was there; thank you SO MUCH!!!!!

Took me a bit to figure out, but if anyone else is curious, items only become links when they are references in Tana. So if you have cards that are children of the published nodes, publishing them will not turn them into links. They have to be a node somewhere else and then must be references under the published node. Then publishing them turns them into links.
