Nice, nice, very nice. However, you can make it better. Just google Stodoys and learn how to do it easily.

I used tite bond 2, it's more water resistant than tite bond 1 but not quite as water resistant as tite bond 3

how do you make the template
@patrickpiekarski2412
@patrickpiekarski2412 5 жыл бұрын
I used a program on my laptop like Google sketch up, made a part that looked like the template in there and then printed this page out to a 2d drawing of a custom paper size. I finally took this drawing of the part to a printing shop where it cost a few dollars in order to have the page printed on that size paper

- Nice end product BUT very, very poor technique on the table saw. I moved past that part of the project. Frightening. Stool is nice, though.

This video is worthless without you showing how it actually works. This clamp can hold a ski vertical for edges. How does it hold a ski horizontal for waxing?
@patrickpiekarski2412
@patrickpiekarski2412 6 жыл бұрын
I agree I should have shown how the vice works but the rubber serves as enough friction to hold the ski while waxing

Extremely informative. I'm planning on building a board this summer. For your skis, do you know how much sag was in the rocker portion of the skis (tip and tail) if any at all. Also how well did the clamping method work out for you? Did you experience any inconsistencies or delamination this past season?
@patrickpiekarski2412
@patrickpiekarski2412 5 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry I never saw this comment, my tip and tails actually had 0 sag but I had a 100% camber ski, since the rocker portion of the ski is a shorter than what is typically the camber portion, I'd assume a half cm of sag.

if you don't use an aluminum plate do you need the second strip of fiber glass
@patrickpiekarski2412
@patrickpiekarski2412 7 жыл бұрын
Brady White no you will not however, if you add that strip of fiberglass under your foot the ski will be stiffer there and your binding screws will have more to bite into.

@patrickpiekarski2412

alexmost1234 yes that was just styrofoam, and there were no creases left from the pressure except for some very faint lines around the aluminum sheet I put in indicating my binding mounting area.

John Walsh there's a critic in every crowd...why not explain what he did wrong next time...instead of coming off arrogant..such as..When you run wood through the saw, you should push it past the blade and remove it, this will help eliminate kick back or binding up the blade while pulling the wood past it while running.
