I ordered a 6hp carb for my 5hp Tohatsu. The carb arrived with no instructions. I'm not sure I'm up to this, but i definitely want to give it a try. Any advice, anyone?

Was it the starboard fin or keel? I had a small leak on mine. Old town should reinforce that spot.

How is the board with the rod holders attached? There’s an interesting shot near the end of the video. I’m going to look for more videos on this canoe. Great build!! I just got a 1975 smokercraft 13 ft canoe. I have a bunch of those style rod holders and no way to mount them.

to much drag for this boat , modified skeg and hydrofoil + outrigers stabilizers slow. my boat 4.2m boat pushing 25-26km/h mercury 6hp.

You could’ve Filled the holes with jbweld jbkwik. Let it cure for a couple of days. Then sanded away the excess jbweld, redrilled your holes and rit dye it to cover the blemishes. It works 😅 I’m sad to say I’ve done it twice and the pistol have functioned flawless.

I just bought a tohatsu 4 hp like yours but I have the problem that sometimes it doesn't start because there is no gas coming from the pump to the filter. I would like to ask if you have ever had that problem?

Thanks Mike, One question for anyone interested. I keep reading that the 4, 5 and 6 are "the same" accept for the power, so why do they MAKE a 4hp? What is the upside of having less power than a 6, if the weight is the same? Mileage? Can't be much different?

Hi, I'm planning installing a 6hp tohatsu carb in my Yamaha 5hp outboard (Parsun) I analysed all two and I'm pretty sure I can make it compatible. I'm asking myself what I risk mechanically if I do that. Do you have an idea? Thank you if you can answer me 🙂

Hey man I have same bike bought same module from custom led but now it’s all installed and the lights don’t work . Brake lights and running lights work but no signals. Also on the dash it says my signals are out
