Peening the slide to have more accuracy. Compare to the factory slide that was not peened so you can see and hear the slop between slide and frame. Peening the slide creates a tighter tolerance between the slide and frame, helps with trigger engagement as well because the slop is removed and you get a tighter more responsive connection between the trigger bar and striker creating a more predictable and reliable break as well as well as less movement between the slide and frame making the gun more accurate. This was my first attempt at doing this, just took my time and did it right. Came out great. This is something 1911 Smiths use to do to GI spec 1911s to help accurize them, never heard of it before until I watched a video on it by Johnny Glock, which I very much thank him for the info he shares, I've llearned a ton watching his videos.
