I also had a 2006 2GR V6 Estima S edition that did not come with cruise control by stock. I have successfully added cruise control in the same fashion as your video. The cruise control function worked fine but there were no cruise control lights. After I opened up the instrument cluster, it was found that the vehicle did not come with that led light on the circuit board.

I had a 2007 2.4 non-hybrid estima, with a 4-spoke steering wheel. The stock clock spring did not have a pass-through for the cruise control pins. From the wrecker I have bought the cruising control stalk along with the correct clock spring, but still failed to activate cruise control function. After some research, for that vehicle you may need to connect another 2 wires to ECU to activate cruise control, but I do not have a diagram to start with. I sold that car before doing any more work.

Hya, nice vid! I just bought this car, a 2008 1.3 executive version. So far I am really happy with it. However, when I accelerate it I hear like a very low constant humming (no rattling or anyting) from the engine. I tried to hear if your makes the same sound. However, I can't really hear it with the wind noise. Did you notice that sound, and is that normal? I am a new car owner, so I am still a rookie :P

Have been starting and driving it in -16 C in Norway. Anything below that (so to say -17 or -20) makes it tricky if not impossible to start without a Webasto. The engine rattles a little when it is cold and until it gets warmer.

@@iambaj8195 It depends on the legalities of your country. I’d always recommend starting out on 125cc and moving up. A 250cc isn’t hugely quick though. At the end of the day, you control the throttle, not the bike, so the speed is on you.

I have a agila b which is a rebadged splash. Fuel economy is 45 over the last 15k and 60mpg at a steady 60mph on a 70 mile run. But. The clutch had to be done twice. Release fork had a crack in it at 18k. Now at 32k its fixed but if you want to make progress it does not like it and the gears feel weak like they want to pop out above 4k rpm when you change up. If you rev to 5k forget about down shifts when slowing. Brake pedal bow makes a sucking noise on lift off probably the brake vacum assembly another £170. Just remember the boot is tiny. How hard would it have been to make the wheel base longer for a longer boot? Overall a good stop gap car. The 1.2 vvti is fun to drive at 5.5k rpm 😮

What about when you take off from 1st gear, I can't seem to balance the revs at around 1.5k or less since that's all you need to take off usually. But in the i20 the gas feels sensitive and it revs to around 2.5k without much, maybe because it is a cable to the throttle body making it less controllable. I feel like I am going to use up the clutch material quicker that way though. Would this just be a part of the cars design? Cause I think in general manual cars only need around 1.2k revs to takeoff from first. Thanks
@RealWorldCarReviews
@RealWorldCarReviews 5 ай бұрын
I’ve no idea on that on tbh. It might just be a case of getting used to the throttle response.
