Did you notice any difference in sound or how the engine performed? I'm replacing mine with a banks header and I'm hoping it keeps things smooth and quiet for a long while. The other replacements tick and leak always. So tired of replacement! Thanks!

The 4.0 is a lazy engine, this certainly didn't wake it up. It's no louder than with the stock manifold, it does sound "smoother". I have not had any issues in 4 years so far.

You can, the conversion amount is different, and the mixture may be slightly different of how much propane vs iso-butane there is in the 12a.

Wait.. a pre facelift w202 in the States? Are you in the states? What is this engine?! It looks like my 1.8L, though you have some stuff different, like in between a facelift and pre one. I dont get it! :D EDIT: I saw on one of your videos the Quebec license plate. It all makes sense now. You are from The European States! Jk. :) I read somewhere that the Canada 202s have an automatic headline ON features. Would be nice if I had here in Europe...

It's a 2.2, and yes our headlights stay on all the time, per Canadian regulations.

I unfortunately don't have a part number. Mercedes dealerships sell this type of stuff surprisingly cheap, I would look there.

Hi, great video! on a w211 suddenly I only got hot air inside, no errors on STAR! Now it is lukewarm, but I can't tell if the AC is affected too, or not, if I turn the temperature high, the revs increase?? ( could it be the AC tries to compensate?) the AC worked just fine and was recently serviced. Is this something that is caused by the stuck valves? Are they on w211, also possible to open and fix, they seem to be capsulated? Thanks a mil!

it certainly can be caused by a stuck valve. Does the AC work normally when the engine is cold?

Am trying to get the electronics right after renovating the wiring loom and can't seem to get my hands on the right wiring diagram. I've got one, but it doesn't really add up. I can't get it right around the injectors and the coils... the colours I have don't match my diagram :( would appreciate any help! I really want to get it up and running again. Sorry I don't have anything I could share over the internet. I use the Bentley service manual for the W202, it has the wiring diagrams. So far they've been accurate (and essential) for me!

1996-1998 don’t have the module there. You have to replace the wiper motors.

I would imagine all W202 compressors are interchangeable. I can't tell you where to get a new one, I don't know where you live. You need to look around some local car parts stores, online websites, or the dealership.

what's the condition of the wires look like? Is there any signs of the insulation degrading? Check the fuel injector wires especially, those are the most susceptible.

If you are replacing the expansion valve, I noticed while editing the video that there may be a piece of the firewall designed to come off to help remove the plastic water tray without breaking it. I'll try it on a junkyard car to see if it's true / easy to remove. If yes, I'll make a follow-up video on this. I missed it the first time around because it really looks like that tray can be removed without removing anything else.

@@bassemriad8188 Haha no worries. You won't find the original material anywhere. Honestly I don't see why you would want it, it's just a cheap vinyl. You can go for some fabric based headliner which will look much nicer. You could even use alcantara if you really wanted to. Just make sure the material is backed with a spongy layer, that will smooth it out against the fibrous headliner board.

the electric pump itself no, but if your faulty electric pump is not actually faulty, but one of the lines have a vacuum leak, then that could cause issues.

Yeah it's pretty straight-forward. Usually the issue is getting a new heating valve, they're no longer available. Junkyards are full of them though, and rebuild kits are readily available, they are also very easy to rebuild. I have a video on that too.

Thank you. I recently replaced my wiper gear and all was well. But have been noticing the wiper get stuck at low speeds, if i turn off wiper and reset it works again. Maybe the relay or maybe it just needs some grease. Will try this before replacing parts, thanks for the video!

@@andreilastar The OEM for these actuators is Behr, if you can find them from Behr on any auto parts store / website, you'll save a good amount of money. Those you can't find you can still get them from a dealership. The Behr ones were ~40$ CAD at the time, and the genuine MB ones were ~80$
