I need the mover to put the caravan on the drive, we put it on the drive front first so the door is at this side.

My tip is ditch the chemicals and get a green toilet additive that goes in both flush and container.

I have had this canopy for 2 seasons and am very pleased with it. I have the 400 size with side walls. I use this for touring in Europe during the summer and in the UK if the weather forecast is ok. I always put the side walls up as I feel that the poles along each side add a little rigidity. Also, I don’t need to bring chairs, table, etc towards the centre of the caravan overnight in case of rain blowing in. When it is hot the sides unclip in seconds and are neatly rolled up and laid on the ground. In cooler weather I have a 400 porch awning. This is a pole awning as my wife and I find it lighter to handle (we are both 75). I also use a Dometic electric pump for the air canopy. The only downside of packing away the sun canopy is that the bags supplied by Dometic are very small so we have purchased larger bags to make life easier. We have caravanned for 47 years and we feel that we niw have the perfect set ups.

We have been caravanners for over 30 years and I always said "I dont need a Motor Mover as i have a reverse gear (blah blah blah)". However we have recently purchased a new van and we were offered a mover as part of the deal. My wife (god bless her) told me in no uncertain terms that the mover was a great idea as i am not getting any younger. All i can say is WHY DIDNT I DO THIS YEARS AGO?????

Yep, we’ve arrived at exactly the same conclusion as yourselves; after lugging the Cadac 50 around for the last 2 seasons - with very little use - we’ve just upgraded it and our old 2Cook2Pro jointly to the new 2Cook3Pro, as a one-stop solution. It looks as though Camac/Dometic have listened to their customers as the new features on the 3Pro address a lot of the (albeit minor) issues on the 2Pro. The windshield, coffee pot stand and handles for the griddle plates are all excellent additions! Not taking the Cadac50 will free up a fifth of the valuable space in our motorhome’s garage shelving, with a considerable amount of weight saved, too. Love Cadac’s products which always give great service and are excellent value for money!

2 out of 5 for me, plus one you didn't mention, driving off with the motor mover still engaged (older grit type rollers). Replacement rollers aren't cheap !
@BigWhiteBoxАй бұрын
2 out of 5 is a good effect although driving with the rollers engaged could be the top trump!

A motor mover is essential if you have an Alko wheel lock. The lock has to be lined up accurately which is easier with a mover.

When my husband was alive we used to lug our heavy cadac on every trip. When he prematurely died of cancer I got rid of the caravan and beautiful canopy and vango awning but I still have the cadac in the garage. I’m now thinking of getting a 2 berth and starting again. That bbq is fab! Loving your channel ❤ Doris the Dometic!?

I have 3 awnings for my campervan - 2 side ones - one if with all the family, 1 if alone, and a tailgate awning which my disabled daughter uses to store her wheelchair. However increasingly if I’m on my own - I’m struggling to put them up alone, so am going with the Maypole variation now it’s got see through sides - plus it’s got a 4mm Kador strip that fits my campervan. Love your set up though - just can no longer manage a caravan on my own.

Good video. Lowering jockey wheel was one I never considered before. Few other tips. Check stays/legs are up before moving. I clip remote to drill to remind me. Lanyard on remote and always carry around your neck so its not forgotten. Hold remote so its pointing in same direction as caravan. If you are facing front of caravan have remote top facing your body. Spare battery for remote. I left it on a couple times to find it flat when needing to move van. Apply handbrake and chock wheels before disengaging MM.
@percyprod65742 ай бұрын
Another one for you. This applies especially if your van is on a slope. Make sure the handbrake is on before you disengage the mover!

Only just seen this, as it popped up on my YT page only today.....I love the motor mover, but just have one concern - our mover, probably only used 20 times, slipped recently on wet grass at a CL and wouldn't move the wheels - the teeth just wouldn't grip the wet tyre. I had to reverse the car and hitch up in the old-fashioned way, but at an awkward angle. I'm always a bit wary, now, of wet weather.

We have that canopy and it’s my favourite because it’s so easy to put up and take down. I’ll only use the sides if the weather is likely to be wet. We got caught out one night and woke up to wet chairs which we hadn’t fold up when the sides weren’t fitted, a lesson learned. It’s a great solution without all the hassle of a full awning setup and it’s not too heavy either. We also have a Kampa Rally Air 200 and a Kampa Club Air 390 which don’t get the same amount of use as the canopy.

I need to install a 4 bike rack and only Thule has them .The problem is that Thule racks have from 80 to 150 cm height. Do you think that the rack bars could be cut so that it could be fitted in a 50 cm height ? Thank you for the neat video !
