I think the ez steer issue is as you engage the motor it's dropping the voltage a bit to low for an instant. It's usually either needs an even bigger wire run direct from battery to controller, or all connections need a thorough cleaning

How do you set your 9600 for canola?
@JDseller15 күн бұрын
When you get a bale without mesh on it check the top roller. The belts "skip" the gap at the top and the mesh will get caught/wrap the rear top roller. That is most likely what caused the bearing to fail. I stop and check that roller as soon as I have a bale with wrap torn off, even if it is just one side of the bale. It is easy to get the wrap off before it becomes wrapped really tight on the roller. On the JD 9600 plug. You can get a small chain wrapped around the header frame just at the edge of the feeder house. Make a loop to attach a cable come-along there. Then raise the header all the way up there will be a pretty straight shoot to the cylinder drive pulley. (You need the feeder house up anyway to dig out the plug.) You can get the end of the cable come-along on one of the bottom spokes of the cylinder drive pulley. You can then roll the cylinder back with the come-along. If your luck is like mine you will have most of a round bale stuck in there. LOL. P.S. I assume your running the the front drum of the feeder house locked in the down position??? That way you will normally plug the front of the feeder house before the cylinder.
@millionairefarmer.5 күн бұрын
Yeah, i use little two ton chain come along. Go under the cylinder around the back and hook it to a chain it to the bottom of the header. Once perfected unplugging becomes about and 15 minute job
@millionairefarmer.5 күн бұрын
Those Auger headers work ok for canola? Early frost and only having 930 auger headers are my two fears when it comes to straight cutting.

Nice shots guys! Harvest is a family affair. I love those golden hour shots. I picked this video back up about in the middle for the drone shots with the music. Neat segment, but I had to check to make sure what channel I was on... Similar to the harvest stuff my buddy @Rosso_Dabosso does on his channel, but in eastern South Dakota. Thanks for sharing!

Have fun with that 9600, my uncle plugged his 9500 solid one year in straight cut canola and it was a 2 day process to get it unplugged. That being said I plugged the beater right solid on our 2188 this year in straight cut canola and it was a 12hr job to get it unplugged so it’s half dozen of one 6 of the other. Either at the front or the back of the machine. Either way youre sitting under or inside and cussing the whole time haha

I was helping a farmer unplug his John Deere pull type, two hours with a sawzall and knife, cramped fingers and making hardly any headway. I got him to bring a power plant and a drill with a half inch bit. I drilled hundreds of holes into the rope like plug in a half hour, got into the tractor fired up the combine and out came the plug. Just a little smoke.

Nick there is a tool that goes around the roller that follows the belt and hooks to the frame. You use it to set the bale shape sensor viewing a certain address on your monitor. It’s all explained in the operators manual. I’ve been watching you bale for a while and my O.C.D. Wants me to adjust your sensors😂
