One gargantuan difference between Trout and Kingery starting slow. Trout was 19, Kingery was 24. Other than that, carry on.

Burnes only pitched 49 innings that year, and he still produced a 3.37 xFIP, so when looking at xFIP he wasn't bad, and his performance was in a shorter sample.

O's fan here. Best thing the Brewers have done in recent memory is try and screw this guy over so we got him for basically a bag of peanuts. He might just win another Cy Young this year. Birds are HOT right now.

Jake's career was a bit like Sandy Koufax's: years of mediocrity followed by a period of absolute dominance. The difference is that Koufax retired on top.

I will never understand sports fans who regard injuries as a character flaw. It's not like Bryant is malingering. Most of his injuries have come from trying to make plays or being hit by pitches. The Denver sportscaster who recently called him out is a jerk.

Definitely helped, but it seems as though changing his pitch selection helped him the most. He got the surgery after the 2020 season and that was after he stopped throwing his 4-seamer.

JR does not take accountability, you can see it every time he gets picked off or makes a running mistake, his first reaction is to shake his hand like ‘no no, instant replay’. You also see his immaturity at the plate, the team could be winning and everyone is hitting but if he’s hitless, he will just waive at the ball like a pouting kid. He needs to go if we can get any value for him.

Losing Burnes sucked, but the front office was so terrible to him. I'm glad he's having success with the Orioles, he deserves it, and they deserve it. I just wish the Crew would fight harder for their stars, Burnes on this years roster would have made a really good Brewers team incredible. Still Ortiz has been great and I'm sure Hall will pick up soon too, if they could turn around Burnes and Freddy, they can turn him around also.
@3-0Greenlight2 күн бұрын
That's true, the return has been nice so far. But your starters have thrown the least amount of innings this season. That's only going to make it more tough for your bullpen as they get more and more taxed as the season goes on.

As a Cubs fan I have nothing but love for KB. He was a fantastic player and just a great person. I honestly do not know if he can ever get back to that place with his injuries but none of that was his fault, it just was bad luck is all so please Rockies fans try to keep that in mind with him.
@Rowgue513 күн бұрын
Nothing tragic just overhyped. He was really good his rookie year. He was already falling off in the 2016 season and only won the MVP because the cubs were so good as a team. He wasn't even the most valuable player on his own team that year. He just continued to get worse every year after that, before there were any injury issues to blame it on. If you want a player that actually did have his true potential derailed by injury then look at Kyle Schwarber. He's still a productive player on a team that's actually competitive every year despite suffering a catastrophic injury as a result of being thrown out at a position he had no business playing.
