the t-tool is useless on mine. it cannot loosen those blade screws, they are way to tight.

Looks fantastic but like you said, after the pickguard goes on it's a different story. The only thing that makes sense on a strat (traditional routing where the pickguard must go on) is a Martin style burst where it closely follows the contours of the body.

Awesome job Nick but I wish you would’ve finished it to see the final finish and see what products you used to do the job. What black lacquer, sanding, sealer, and clearcoat product did you use? I am thinking about doing a Strat myself and I really like what you did but I’m new to it and since you are a woodworker, I believe I could trust the products and the process that you would present, I still would like to know the product you would suggest if you could reply to my post. I would really appreciate it. By the way I subscribe to your channel.

This would be sick with black hardware and a dark neck like rosewood, ebony or wenge.

What dont you understand about wire nuts? So simple to use and literally used in every house in america.

People, be careful when using a jigsaw to make a thick cut like this. It may look like you’re cutting square up top but it may be undercutting underneath. A dark veneer between the body and the top would make it pop better.

I am a professional home remodeling contractor, but I love to see what other people are doing wit their projects when I have time. This is faaarrrrrr and away one of the best DIY videos I have ever seen! Not only is the overall production quality excellent, although simple in it s execution, but this guy has taken the time to make very clear explanations and the camera work and sound quality are great! Please keep them coming! 90% of KZbinrs could learn a hell of a lot from your production example. I cringe at most of the DIY videos out there!

The Wixey is a great unit that I have used for over a decade. I hate the blade calibration method and use a different way. Set the fence anywhere, rip a stable hardwood, and zero the Wixey. Measure the ripped board and back up the fence to negative that measurement. Zero the Wixey again and done. It really is a reliable device that I trust much more than my eyes on the ruler.

You mentioned that your saw was on a mobile base. Did you end up putting casters on the router table legs?

Your video make no sense to people who's installing these lights from start to finish, you skipped the connection of the power installation, making you video not very helpful.😮 Comments made by some aren't helpful, people want to see start to finish videos when they don't know this installation, telling them to hire high priced professionals is irritating they want to install it themselves.

What prep was done to the wood besides sanding, e.g., sealing conditioner? I’ve worked with stains but not dyes before.

This was very helpful. Thank you. The guard (red piece) around my guide was not parallel with the guide and so would catch when trying to raise or lower. Once I detached that from the guidepost the whole upper guide snapped back in alignment and now it runs fine.

IT ENDED UP BY LEAVING A CRAZY UGLY PAINT... YELLOW IS ESSENTIAL AND MUST BE APPLIED FIRST. RED FOLLOWS BLACK. HOWEVER, THE BLACK APPLIED BEFORE MUST BE SANDED ALMOST COMPLETELY. STAY SHIRT PORC TO CAT

Faz tanta besteira que termina por estragar o trabalho... as cores são cuidadosamente aplicadas e se não tiver cautela acaba ficando essa pintura esdrúxula que ficou! E TIRAR NOVAMENTE É BRONCA!

Question with these Angelus dyes. If you mix neutral with just a few drops of black will it just be black or will it dilute down to a thin greyish? Basically can I do that and get a faux sand back look? For a thin assed career that can't be sanded back at ALL, would that work? (Obviously a newbie)
