This anime has both a sweet taste in my mouth and a sour one it starts off great and then you meet some of his family members never in my life I ever hated a grandparent more than That man, his mother is just as bad somebody please smack some sense in the both of them seriously threatening him for what not supporting your sister oh, I’m sorry I didn’t know what he Her Butler not his sister just cause he chose to live with his dad does not mean you had to. The fact that he worked his ass off to make this woman smile, and all of his hard work was for nothing. His grandfather’s a piece of shit. This man owns him and tries to ruin his life just for choosing his father, I’m sorry, but if I’m not mistaken, he was younger than a 10-Year-old My main guesses he was like, Six Seven or five and they disowned him for not even getting a choice who knows for all they know he probably had no choice, but to live with the dad he was a kid kids never have a choice in the matter if I was in this anime and I was related to these people I would sue the grandfather for all his worth And send Him and his daughter on the street After that, I taken the children

Not gonna lie when I did this comment it was just me ranting about how the anime started off fun to me and then it just went completely 180 right near the end where I just started to hate just because the mother and grandfather were horrible horrible people and mind you in my opinion there’s a second worst anime family seen first obviously goes to welcome to Demon school. This kid literally has the devil for parents his adopted grandfather who is an actual demon somehow treat him better but still at least he’s somewhat has a sister not gonna lie when I watch the one scene of the anime I don’t remember which episode I could just tell that girl was one button push away from losing any and all family ties with her brother one wrong move that girl was gonna to lose her brother

Peak isekai, I read the LN when I got done watching the first season and I'm so glad I did. It was such a wonderful journey seeing this absolute PoS go from... well... a PoS to an actually normal, upstanding (if a bit pervy) dude who you can actually admire parts of. The world building is so deep, not LoTR's level but definitely really good.Almost all the characters are memorable in some way. This is anime exclusive but the animation and sound design/music is so good! Would highly recommend to anyone whose a fan of fantasy and isn't sensitive to uncomfortable subjects, because this show REALLY gets into it.

Yes and no? I mean yeah mentally he's an adult. However at the same time in this new life he is kid and is the same physical age as two of his eventual wives, and counting his previous life would be around the same age as Roxy. And his physical age does play a role in his behaviour, simply because children don't have the emotional or mental development as an adult. While he knows much more than a kid, he also has the brain chemistry of a child. Meaning you have a grown man who doesn't have the mental faculties yet to properly emotionally regulate (not helped by his PTSD that caused him to become a shut in) or the impulse control to keep himself in check reliably while going through puberty AGAIN with all the knowledge this time around. Like a kid he gets better with age. Yeah he's a perv with some disturbing tastes but I don't think you can really count him as a pedo given how wildly unique his situation is as well as the very different standards around age of consent, the culture of the Asura Kingdom and world as a whole, and the fact that, given how long some species in this world can live a huge age gap isn't that uncommon.

@@AustralianBird niece thing isn't canon and again, in our world it's fucked but not in the world the story takes place in. Roxy is in her forties and looks like a little girl. Ruijerd is centuries old but barely looks like he's pushing 30 and eventually marries Norn. Same with Elainalise and she gets with cliff, who's around Rudy's physical age. Age isn't super relevant for a lot in that world. And yes, while Rudy has the MEMORIES of a 40 year old that doesn't mean he acts like one. He's mature for his visible age, but the second he stresses out or those memories don't help the situation he reacts EXACTLY like a kid his physical age would. So while he has the memories, he is still pretty clearly a child and develops as such. His behaviour is even average for the Greyrat family and it's stated so time and time again aside from as a baby. And while he pursued his wives (a perv about it, especially with Eris) THEY were the ones that jumped his bones and not the other way around. And with each, all three wives were legal adults to the law of their world before anything happened.
