They were good friends and he too was a famous artist. Shiskin’s forests are mesmerizing. He was a true master landscape artist and is revered in Russia. I always liked the addition of the bears as they are symbolic of Russia🙂

Nice! Its interesting the way you don't draw a rough shape and then fill things in. You just start at one end and work toward the other, like slowly pulling the curtain back to expose what's behind. 👏👍🙂
@adamkenneyart6 ай бұрын
Depends on what I'm drawing. I usually have a general game plan. It is risky, though, to do it this way. I can easily lose my proportions. With landscapers it doesn't matter as much, but with animals and people things can go awry fast.

What do you mean by "cool" and "warm"?
@adamkenneyart Жыл бұрын
Maybe I can explain that more in a separate video, but cool colors are blues, violets, and some greens and reds, whereas warm colors are yellows, oranges, reds, and some greens and reds. If something is toned towards yellow, it is warm. If something is toned towards violet, it is cool.

Murphy’s oil soap is awesome for cleaning brushes too and you can find it in any grocery store, in my area at least. The painting came out amazing. I already liked what you had after the Plein air session but the final painting after the touch ups in your studio really turned it up a notch. Beautiful work. Thanks for the video.

Thanks Wendy! I'm always trying to weigh in my mind when a painting is "finished". It is reassuring to hear you say that you liked it even in it's earlier stages.
