Yes, uses a webcam or your phone as long as your phone is not an iPhone 12+. Did not work with phone for me. Demo in video.

I actually made a mistake starting with like 65% throttle and did a hot start and actually did engine damage. That’s pretty cool

I have it on Xbox and it seems like when you lower the throttle when powering down it doesn’t actually lower rpm till you are like below 40% which I doubt is really how it would go.. maybe that needs to get fixed. Otherwise I loveeee this baby lol

Gave my TrackIR 5 away to a mate 5+ years ago since I stopped flightsimming.. and nowadays the exactly same crap cost +300€ here !! No I haven't gotten back to flying, but forgot I used it for trucking too, that I also took a break from.. so ordered a cheap webcam and Beam Eye Tracker.. and I'm quite sure I will never miss the TrackIR.. or even think about getting a Tobii Eyetracker again. (I'd rather carve the eye part out of an old Oculus Rift than pay their extortion prices for hardware that have hardly changed in 10 years, as I had the TIR4 too, and not accidentally going to the store with the old track clip on the cap is worth more than money can translate to) :P

Thanks for the comment. I have tried the Astro One. We fly on Twitch three times a week and I choose (almost at random) 1 out of 100 screenshots. I decided to go with what KZbin choose for this one.

Great content! I have been out at the east end of Long Island and the Hamptons look outstanding. I did not get this close staying at 1000' AGL down the beach but from that altitude you could identify houses along the beach (i.e. Seinfeld's house). I do think this city update is a teaser for 2024. I flew the Comanche with Flow Pro installed and frame rate was just fine and our systems are very similar. I also ran into the East Hampton airport that Microsoft did nothing with. The harbors also seem to have improved with more boats modeled and less boats and docks looking like they were painted on the water. I think this leaves areas for scenery developers to make improvements but overall we have a big improvement. Thanks for sharing! Congrats on nearing 1000 subs!

Not exactly a preview, more of a new method for TIN implementation. 2024 will still have to old TIN in a lot of places so melted buildings will still be there. Asobo has to get the new data little by little.

The reason you were moving sideways, is you did not have the aircraft in trim. Look at the caution panel, just to the bottom left you will see your slip-and-turn ball. If the ball is not centered, then step on the pedal, which will trim the aircraft. Also, in a fully MEDVAC conf, we can carry 24 litters. Really enjoyed the video, brought back a lot of memories. I'm going to try and build a CH-47 sim.

Great video Joel! You are right about the throttle during your auto. It should drop the engine rpm to 70% when you roll it against the idle stop. I’ll post in the support discord. It was working better in the beta version just prior to release. The Huey does have a high inertia rotor though. It’s said that it has enough energy to auto full down, then pick it back up and rotate 360 and set it back down before you run out of rotor rpm…

I’ve heard this too. I think it was from an interview with a former Huey pilot on Mover’s channel (cw lemoine). It’s because the blades are much heavier than modern blades.

IRL the hose is put back up by the ground crew once you land from what I found. No way to do it from the bird while in the air.

I bought the hype 145 ages ago, but not flown for a while. and with MSFS 2024 coming out soon if I bought this R22, will it work in the new version? I want to start off simple again as I forgot how to fly the 145. :(
