I need a new Twisted Metal game !!!

What i would like to see is a revival of the Og Twisted Metal. Remake it in a new game engine (such as UE5) and just slightly change the formula (IE Resi 2 remake). Deepen the story, fix all that caused TM2012 to fail. Hell even throw in a demo of Warhawk (lol).

Im a die hard TM fan. Twisted Metal doesnt deserve a come back. With the state of sony right now trying to rip its customers off, its an IP thats best left alone. Live services, microtransactions, dlc etc would destroy any new game in the series. Sony is not ignoring TM unwillingly. Theyve just sat down with their financial analysts and they dont see money here.

I have known about this since I got the game in 2018 (I live in a country that gets European). I have never heard anybody else bring the censorship up so I decided to upload myself. So in story mode if you don't die the whole tournament your vehicle will be upgrded and become overpower?

Plus Fortnite just had a Season where the Cars were given weapons and (to me at least) resembled a bit of how a Twisted Metal Battle Royale Game would play

No free to play live service garbage, no micro transactions crap, you buy the game you get the game, sony did it with stellar blade no reason they couldn't do it for TM no excuses for companies to force that crap down our throats, I want a new TM but not unless it's actually good and we've seen it countless times over and over live service typically means it's garbage designed for no purpose other than to siphon every dime it can from your wallet, Fortnite and Apex are exceptions to the rule not the average baseline, don't be so desperate that you're willing to accept mediocrity designed for no reason other than to drain your bank account or you'll regret it when they do put out a new TM, was actually glad when I heard it had been canceled once i heard it was more live servive crap :/

F-Zero came back after 19 years as a “battle royale”, why not Twisted Metal?

I think it’d be cool for TM to go the multiverse route for these reasons. 1: say the world is already destroyed, so where can the next tournament take place? How bout earth 287 or someplace entirely new. 2: they can also say all games are canon no matter how crazy, different or wild they be, anyone can die but there can be another version of em in a different universe too. 3: it gives basically almost complete freedom to the devs to figure out how to push the series further rather than just make a safe game.

Unless Sony can find a way to turn it into a walking simulator it will probably remain on the bench. Personally I gave up on Sony after the PS2 era cuz their focus was casual stuff. I have much more hope for fans games/mods, or indie studios making a spiritual sequel... If one of those get attention they may get off their duff.

I wouldn't call Twisted Metal a battle royale, I think hero shooter is more apt. It's closer to Overwatch than Fortnite.

I think the best thing to do is make a BR mode. Like BO4 did with Blackout. Have normal multiplayer modes but also have a big BR mode with like 50 people on a huge map and the map could get smaller over time. Also it needs a single player mode with endings with each character. Plus no having characters drive different vehicles!

F2P is such an annoying concept I remember when Halo gears of war call of duty and battlefield would have over 100000 players concurrently playing the games and they were paying 60 dollars to play titles. Devs need to finish games this free to play shit makes games feel cheap and half baked like a crappy phone game or a slot machine

Companies would rather fund projects like Concord and dustborn and lose 100 million dollars instead of making money

I'm not sure if anyone is paying attention, but Sony has been about LOSING money lately, so they probably don't want our money!

My idea for a new TM would be to have both a BR and Classic Tournament mode. The BR would work just like every other BR, but when you're the final person, it's not over. The final person must battle Minion, (or other classic characters from past games. And I mean ANY classic TM character can show up as a Boss here. Even characters from the first TM) to win their wish. (This would be just a fun little cherry on top that gives you a bonus reward if you win) Then there would be Classic Tournament where it plays similarly to TM Black. A darker tone, but not as dark as Black. It could be so dang good. DLC could add create a car using body types of EVERY TM car in all of the series available to customize. (Even TV show)

Let's talk about how Sweet Tooth was actually used to represent Sony/Playstation as a mascot in multiple games as well. The first thing that comes to mind for me is Rocket League and how it has console exclusive cars (only seen by people using the same console). For Nintendo we have Mario/Luigi and for PS we have Sweet Tooth. Kinda wild how they throw it on the backburner. especially now when the series is gaining traction again with the show coming out. There's so much potential and money to be made here. They could just give us some MK11 type shit where it's just a mashup of all the timelines and I'd be even happy with that. Who in the flaming ostrich fuck asked for a Legacy of Kain remaster anyway?
