That was pretty difficult. I had to redo that a couple of times with super glue to get the right angles.

I've had the worst luck with that Vallejo plastic putty. Since it's not sandable, what are you using on the cotton bud to remove the excess?

Hey Antares, sorry for the late reply. Been on vacation. 😎 It’s just simple water on the cotton bud. But youngsters to swipe it away, while it’s still kinda wet. Apply it, wait 5-10min and then wipe it away with the bud. There’s a good video on this topic on the Vallejo YT-Channel. Cheers!!!

Hey Ian, you’re right, I haven’t posted for a while, because I decided to end my YT-career. 😂 Video editing started to feel like a second job and I haven’t had that much fun building models anymore. Im sorry but I personally think that you should not use the Slava Ukraine greeting in your videos. In1947, members of the UPA shot our citizens in the village of Blatnica. So for me it is a very sensitive topic. Its a video about building a aircraft model and not a politics.

@marcelb.5853 Um ehrlich zu sein, habe ich den günstigsten, den es bei Amazon gab. 😂 Als ich 2018 wieder in das Hobby eingestiegen bin, wusste ich nicht, ob das Hobby noch was für mich ist und habe erst einmal den günstigsten genommen. Der tut es immer noch und bevor der nicht die Segel streicht, wird es wohl auch kein neuer! Bzgl. Lautstärke: Das Ding ist leiser als man denkt. Die Kids schlafen in den Zimmern nebenan und kriegen nichts davon mit. Auch in dem Stockwerk darunter hört man nichts. Beste Grüße!

Thank you very much, David. I really appreciate your kind words. Colours: That’s a really good question. It’s about 2y since I built the model. The Sidewinders are Tamiya Clear Blue over a white base colour. The AMRAAMs: I guess that’s Light Ghost Grey for the missile body and some darker grey for the fins. But if you have a closer look on references, the fins have a metallic shine, so I guess this darker grey isn’t 100% accurate. I hope that helps you bit. Let me know! Best regards!!!

@davidbel1081 You’re welcome, David. You’re talking about the third one from the left on the video‘s thumbnail, right?! Although it looks like a missile, it’s actually a laser guided bomb. It’s a Paveway. It’s painted in olive drab and blue on the seaker head. But the blue makes only sense, if you want to replicate a training bomb or missile. Live bombs or missiles have yellow bands or markings. But you can paint your Paveways also in grey. Just google it and you get a lot of different variations. I hope that helps you!!! Best regards!!!

Moin Lohan. Dieser Alpha Jet wird von Top Aces geflogen, einem kanadischen Unternehmen. Top Aces ist von der Luftwaffe beauftragt Flugzieldarstellung zu leisten, also die Aggressor-Rolle während des Trainings der Luftwaffepiloten zu übernehmen. Ich habe DIESEN Alpha Jet mehrmals in Wittmund gesehen und er war jetzt auch dieses Jahr auf dem Royal International Air Tattoo in Fairford. Aktuell starten die Top Aces-Maschinen (u.a. auch ex-israelische A-4N Skyhawks) soweit ich weiß, von Nordholz, da die Air Base in Wittmund komplett erneuert wird. BESTE Grüße!

This is a great build! At 12:15 when you were filling in the gaps in the air intake you wiped the excess off with a cotton bud, was the cotton bud dipped in water or did you have to use something else? And did you let the putty dry before doing that or did you wipe away the excess right after applying it?

Hello Isaac. Thank you for your comment and sorry for my late reply. I’ve been at RIAT over the weekend. 🥳🥳🥳 Regarding the putty wiping: It depends. When it’s fresh, I just take a dry cotton swab and wipe it away. When it dried, you need a damped (water) cotton swab. I work with the Vallejo Putty, if you use another one it may needs a different handling. But when I remember correct in THIS case I applied the putty and wiped away straight away!
