Don't O rings degrade or wear over time? If so how long does this one last or how often do you have to replace it?

Yes, they absolutely do. This depends on many factors. Geographic location, how often you lube the O-ring, etc. We have tested thousands of cycles before ripping the O-ring. It's easily user serviceable and replaceable. It also comes with an extra O-ring in the packaging. If more is needed they can be purchased from our website or a similar sized O-ring from the hardware store cut to size will work fine.

Can you run a suppressor piston on a fixed barrel too? Does it make a difference? For example, if I put a 9mm piston suppressor on like an AR9 or a Scorpion or something. I'm assuming this has to do with pressure more than anything. I assume that if I run like 147gr subsonics through a 5-9" 9mm carbine barrel, then I'll be perfectly fine running the piston if I have to. I'd prefer not to, but I assume that as long as I'm keeping the pressures low I won't have any problems
