I helped build that hotel. I was the assistant superintendent for the interiors. Louis de Araujo was the interior designer. It was one of the last construction jobs I did before going into design myself.

What about Pandora & Cook, I understand this is the best part of Victoria. Never a dull moment and lots of free drugs to get you going. I lived at Lands-end for 18 years but had to move off island since I was all alone and my kids were all on the Mainland and as I get older I want to nearer to them.

Im about to move to canada from UK and i'm allowed to live anywhere except Quebec despite, ironically, being selected from a french speaking EE draw. I lived in London for a few years and hated it, and I love rain & sunshine, don't like overcast. Maybe British Colombia is for me!

I hope one day someone will have the balls to actually talk about the dramatic colonialism, and anti-indigenous, ism and racism that exist in Victoria along with all of the elitist and colonialists. I would do it myself, but I have been so badly harassed Victoria that I am going to be doing it in other ways like writing a book and bringing it to the stage. And I am sure that the Victoria trolls will seize all over this post in common, and I will not respond to them. But I will tell them that if they have that much passive aggressive hate, they should join the Trump campaign. And how indigenous people are left to die as I was twice at the hospital, and I was objectively discriminated against at Camosun and Royal Roads, along with being discriminated against for wearing rainbow glasses and bright colours and sequined jackets. This place is disgusting and people don’t say hello and they aren’t friendly and is a very intolerant and hateful place. That thinks it’s a liberal which is really hilarious because you might as well be culturally living in Alabama because of all the hate they have here

Really late to the party here but just caught this video (very well done by the by). The differences between Canadians and Americans is always a tough one to answer but I figured I'd drop this little nugget in here for what it's worth :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5PFmWB4e5yJa6c

Did I hear correctly that it has been very cold in Victoria the last couple of days? Below '0'? I heard an itneresting comment the other day. It was from an elderly lady and she said she regretted not travelling more on her own. She said when you travel on your own, you tend to be more open to speaking to people/the locals than you would if you were travelling with someone else and you learn alot more about the area you are visiting.

I’m with you - I would travel hours for a good haircut/hairstylist. Yours looks amazing! I can’t believe no-one else has mentioned this, but either your microphone isn’t working properly, or it’s just terrible, because I had to turn the volume up to pretty much max to be able to hear you speak, then the music was absolutely deafening. 😅 I’m hoping to finally visit Canada for the first time this year so I love to see different parts of it from people living there. Also, that was the best looking plane food I’ve ever seen!

Hi Emme lovely to see another great video. Good for you for coming back in the big city for a hair cut I would of done the same thing lol. And also I just got back from Victoria BC yesterday what a beautiful city it's so nice to be able to walk in a city that isn't big. Plus got to see Christmas lights in butchart gardens so magical got to see almost everything in the city. Truly cart wait to go back. And the airport was nice and laid back no rush at all in Victoria airport. Was a little sad to leave but I know I will be back again.❤
