I remember Mr. October hitting 3 HRs in the WS against the hated Dodgers. I was just a kid and I was yelling and jumping around. I don’t see personalities like him anymore.

Absolutely one of the best and most original groups to ever exist. The way they played every damn instrument ever made and the three different vocals with Rick , Richard and Levon were the most amazing and beautiful voices ever recorded. I've been a fan since I was first introduced and I'm 58 now and 4 plus decades they never get old.

Watching baseball since 1967 Thats the hardest ball ive ever seen hit.

That ball was rising when it hit the transformer. If it happened hit anything. Theres no telling where that ball would of landed.

This is one of those unbelievable, rarely captured performances, palpably off the charts energy. But just now, listening to it again on my crappy phone speaker and it's just jumping off the stage. It hits revival level energy at least half a dozen times. And you can still get a copy of it with that original cover. Probably worth being in anyone's library. It wears well.

In a game that included home runs by HOFers Aaron, Bench, Clemente, Frank Robinson and Killebrew, it was Reggie’s mammoth blast that was the talk of the game. While his time in NY cemented his legend, it was this HR that brought him to the attention of the public.

Reporter: Reggie, I tell ya', that was quite a shot, that was quite a shot. Reggie Jackson: Thank you. Wait until you see what I've got for you the next three seasons. And you're not even going to believe the show you'll see in October of 1977. 😀

That ball was “CRUSHED”! No doubt when it left the bat. If it wasn’t for the light tower the ball would have kept going. He had a great career, but especially with the Yankees. Ask the Dodgers… Mr. October!

To bad money took over the game , so gems like Tiger Stadium no longer exist and players jump from one team to the other with zero loyalty. I can probably still name 20 out of the 25 68 Tigers but don't know 3 from the current team

Big deal ! Reggie stands there looking at the ball , showing up the pitcher and thinks he is Babe Ruth or something . Reggie helped pave the way for arrogant ballplayers like Dave Winfield , Ricky Henderson and Roger Clemons .

Luis Aparicio was near the end of his stellar career in 71. I was surprised to hear his name.. He was short stop for my beloved 59 White Sox. He and Nellie Fox were a premier double play duo. He's still alive (2024) and 90 years old.
