This is the song my best friend always sent me. Im ashamed at my life as a former gang member and drug dealer. I ruined our friendship and 20 years of being brothers.

Great tune this. The lyrics are amazing too. I can't remember exactly which TV show it was on when I discovered it, but it was on some streamed thing - it didn't even get as far as the singing, but I loved it instantly. I rewound and shazamed it. Then I listened to it on Spotify and thought.. ..I know that voice! I racked my brains until 'Electric President' popped into my head. That's another 'band' I discovered completely by accident years earlier in a bagel shop in Prague. I said to my sister, this sounds really good, a bit like Grandaddy or something. She made the effort to go and ask what it was for me. So I bought it - it was the S/T album - and I listened to it endlessly. Anyway - I did a quick Google search and sure enough it was your voice, in both groups. So once again, I bought the CD, this time the Radical Face Welcome Home album and I play it all the time in the car. I love it. I'm okay at guitar and had had a reasonably successful go but hadn't realised you tune down. Kicking myself now, as now it's a pretty simple part to play once you tune down. Singing and playing at the same time though, is a different story for me. Especially when it has odd time signature like this. So cool you shared how to play it. Thanks. And thanks for ALL the music - not just this.

After all this years since the first time I heard this song, I've seen and experienced so many things; changing places, changing lives, changing people. I have lost the people I loved, I have lost my old passion and feelings. I guess I am starting to get tired. This song reminds me of all these experiences, it ignites my longing for the man I used to be and the passion that I had in me. In order to create such a work, you have to have lived these things, now I realize that I really understand what lies behind this song. I miss you young man, I really miss you

8:45 This section to the end of the song is perfect. The entire song breaks down the character, and this rescuing part of the plot is musically portrayed so well.

[Verse 1] I've got no need for open roads Cause all I own fits on my back I see the world from rusted trains And always know I won't be back Cause all my life is wrapped up in today No past or future here If I find my name's no good I just fall out of line [Chorus] But I miss you But there's comin' home There's no comin' home With a name like mine I still think of you But everyone knows Yeah everyone knows If you can, let it go [Verse 2] I seen more places than I can name And over time they all start to look the same But it ain't that truth we chase No, it's the promise of a better place But all this time, I been chasin' down a lie And I know it for what it is But it beats the alternatives So I'll take the lie [Chorus] I still miss you There's no goin' home There's no goin' home With a name like mine I still dream of you But everyone knows Yeah everyone knows If you can, let it go

I have brothers like this that I left behind in NY. But I did all the things he said they never did. I've traveled all of America searching from the entire west coast to all the middle all the way to NY. I found my four brothers there and was never homeless again.

Show your hands If you need a new coat of paint If your bones are now heavy things Like anchors hidden somewhere 'neath your skin Or if your head's just an empty box If your heart has become spare parts If your days are now just something you must bear Well, oh, it seems you're a lot like me You dug yourself into places You never thought you would be But don't you fret, and don't you mind The only constant is change And you never know what you'll find Yeah, tomorrow I might wake up nice and clean And I might believe the things I said I didn't mean And this might turn and wind up just the way we'd dreamed And I might become the things I swore I'd always be Well, we're always on our way We're on our way Well, we're always on our way We're on our way Well, we're always on our way We're on our way Well, we're always on our way We're on our way

In my youth, I was a Pink Floyd fan, and I would sit staring at lyrics on an album and concentrate and imagine as I listened. I get that same type of experience here, which is fantastic: I get to read the words on the screen, but also get to experience part of the story with its graphics: the numbers and codes, the loading and stats…. All very engaging. The lyrics, music, and vocals are top notch, and I’m definitely curious to see where our hero heads next! Great work!

For me this song is about the two parts of my soul and that particularly feeling that will probably follow me my whole life: I won't ever be able to bring these two parts in a straight line, it has always been and always will be a constant fight between those two.

One of my close childhood freinds just overdosed from fentynal. Came back to this song it reminds me of me and him. He was always a little trouble maker, a rebellious guy with nothing but love. A lot of people would put him down behind his back for it, nothing ever could change my mind on him as a person i loved him like my own flesh and blood. Thank you for this masterpiece of a song.
