Hey, my name is Tim. I just bought one of those and I was actually looking for a folding stock and I think you nailed it with that one and I was looking for a drum mag. That would be cool. If you could respond to me I am watching your video, but I didn’t write anything down. That’s an awesome gun. I have the same set up more or less, but I don’t have a folding stock and that is awesome because it’s actually steel and aluminum. Can you please send me the contacts that would be awesome

Greetings. Already have the full size Carbine; getting the Charger soon. I live in GA. I know the “brace” is fine but can I legally but a vertical foregrip on? A very gray area (at least to me). Thanks for the Tandemkross brace review. I bought mine because of your honest review. I’ve usedTK many times to jazz up different platforms. Please reply if you have time. Thank you Sir… Happy New Year! 🫡🇺🇸
@HotLeadretired2 күн бұрын
I did a form 1 SBR on mine so it’s considered a rifle now. You can’t legally add a 90 degree forward grip on the PC Charger unless you do a form 1 SBR. However, you can use an angled front grip. The Rim/ Edge I reviewed by Tandemkross in this video is a stock not a brace. I had the 1913 MagPul folding brace on my PC Charger before I SBR’ed it. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comment. Happy New Year. If you have anymore questions just let me know. I’ll answer them if I can.
@mccannfamily...7652Күн бұрын
@ Thanks for quick reply Sir… What is the difference between a brace and a stock as far as SBR is concerned? Also, do you know the length of pull from the back of the Tandemkross “stock” to your trigger? I have ready that if it’s less than 13.5” it may be legal without a tax stamp. Thanks again… 🫡🇺🇸
@HotLeadretiredКүн бұрын
A brace is designed to secure around your forearm by straps or a hinged bracket. The measurement from trigger to the farthest part of the stock is 12 and 3/8. I’ve remember hearing something about the 13.5 rule but I can’t remember the specifics.

@ That LOP may be the loop hole. And; if I mount it with a picatinny QD for easy removal, it should still be within LOP limit guidelines. Research continues. Thanks. 👍

That’s not making sense to me, if your slide locks back on that test of yours,??? You don’t have the spring in when you’re doing the test.why would it make any difference?
@HotLeadretired3 күн бұрын
Because the spring is causing the slide not to fully lock to the rear with an empty mag but it will with the empty mag an no spring. Everything was the same except for the spring.

A little late to the party buuuuut ive taken it to the range 3 times. 1st time i was flabbergasted at how zero it was from the box at 25 yards. By the 3rd time my wife was with me and she loved shooting something that she could get a bullseye with. This is a woman who cant throw a pretzel in my mouth from 5ft away. Anyways, i love the gun and my wife more and more as time goes by.

Yeah, I was surprised at its accuracy too. So I wanted to see how far I could take it shooting off a rest. I was able to hit water bottles at 50 yards no problem. Then I shot ballons at 85 and a 100 yards. Check out that video. It’s a great little revolver and cheap to shoot. Thanks for watching. Hey, put a little flour inside of a balloon they make great targets and leave a white cloud flour in the air, like smoke when you hit them.

I love simple designs. This is a good set up. I am using a Boondock mount for my Old Town 136 that I installed a 1-1/8" square tubing insert that holds an aluminum square tubing big enough to mount the trolling motor C clamps to. I am going to mount the battery box to the boondock square tube. With this set up I can transfer the trolling motor to my wife's Old Town 106 Sportsman. For that reason, I thank you. A brace is what you want if you don’t want to do a form 1 with the ATF. Mine is a stock and the PC Charger is on a form 1, it’s an SBR.

@thereloadingcraftАй бұрын
When switching between copper washed or copper plated bullets and lead round nose bullets, it is often best to fire one or two cylinders full in order to properly season the barrel in order to get optimum accuracy. Because 22 long rifle often uses lubricated projectiles and the lubricant on each projectile type is often different, it is important to season the bore and established consistency before shooting groups. While this is most noticeable in 22 rifles, any precision, accuracy, test in my opinion, should follow the same procedure.

@pinballrick6031Ай бұрын
After the fact, but out of battery is an easy fix and Canik sending you a new recoil spring isn't it. The METE MC9's feed ramp is a little too steep (you could compare it to a Glock if you still at the Canik) so to compensate it needs to be polished to a mirror finish. The other thing that can cause out of battery is burrs on the top edges of the frame. If the polymer isn't flush with the loading block etc then it must be (shouldn't have to be) sanded down so it _is_ flush. The slide not locking back at all? That's a new one on me. Sorry it didn't work out for you. It's a fine pistol that I carry every time I leave the house.

@HotLeadretiredАй бұрын
Well, my trolling motor only weighs 5 lbs. I do balance my gear by weight to even out my kayak. I keep my 5lb anchor on the opposite side of the trolling motor. Only issue with doing a side mount turning the kayak to the side the motor is mounted a wider turn. Thanks for watching.

@ I feel like I messed up with this Newport 55 thrust. Maybe it’ll be okay in the back. Going to take her out as soon as I get the steering done. I’m probably going to put the battery up front to help.
@HotLeadretiredАй бұрын
@JMMULLINS I went with the lightest trolling motor I could find. It only has 24 lb thrust but it actually weighs 4.5 lbs. weight distribution is important with a side mount. A sharp turn to the side it’s mounted on makes it tippy. I’ve never tipped mine and I made a couple of tight turns. I think you’ll get it, trial an error you’ll find what works for you.

Thanks for the video! I just bought the FS1913 brace for mine and have not received it yet so unable to comment on it. I love how it looks as if it was meant for it which I why I bought it but this stock looks like it blends in perfect! What kind of foregrip is that? Have you used any issues with the fun stick 33 round mags or do you think the drums are the best route? I like the stick ideas just for my backpack. Cannot wait to get this charger all put together with the CAA ballistic sling bag that I scored for half off on a grab a gun quote! Have you tried the midwest industries slim handguard?
@HotLeadretiredАй бұрын
I have tried and mostly use Glock brand 31 round mags from day one. I can say I’ve never had an issue with them. I did try a 31 round off brand mag that a buddy of mine had. We both had failures to fed with it. So I just stick with Glock mags. The MagPul D50 GL9 drum has never had a failure to feed or any other issue. I would recommend this drum. I don’t use it often because it takes a while to load and I always want to shoot it fast for some reason. The drum mag is cool and gives your trigger finger a workout. No I haven’t tried Midwest Industries. I’m interested and I’ll take a look at it. Thanks for watching.

For me, in conjunction with the thumb rest, it feels more comfortable than gripping the forearm. The space between the factory hand stop and the magazine well was tight when I placed my hand there. Now it’s comfortable. When I’m comfortable I tend to shoot better. It’s really just personal preference. I like it. Thanks for watching.

I'm liking that decocker system. Kinda best of both worlds approach -- you can fire immediately or you can lower the hammers and keep it handy for defense, loaded but safe. Also like that the barrel's 18.5" instead of the normal coach gun length of 20". What is the length of pull on that thing? Stock looks a tad long, but could just be 'cause the barrel looks shorter than usual...

Carefully filing the rear sight slot for windage adjustment looks way better after a little touch-up painting, than bending the front sight. It may shoot straight bent, but looking at a bent front sight would really bug my sense of symmetry. Also, for a low shooting gun, one can use fine adhesive pinstripe tape on the front sight to quickly figure out how much to file off. Or, once you find where perfect elevation level is, instead of filing away the top of the front sight, you can use orange or white paint to mark from the sweet spot down towards the barrel. This way you can have normal looking front and rear sights the work for you.

Why use spacers
@HotLeadretired2 ай бұрын
Because on the Teton 116 kayak the rod holders are angled. In order to make the 2x4 set at 90 degrees you have to use spacers. If you don’t the motor will be on a crazy angle.
