My 24 lb thrust does fine. Weight was my deciding factor. With me and all my gear. I think 30 lb thrust would be plenty. Plus you battery size. The more thrust the more amps the motor will burn. Which means less run time or a bigger battery. I think a happy medium would be 30 lbs of thrust or less. Good luck and thanks for watching.

I just sent my gun to canik and they’re sending me a new one I sent it once and they polished the feed ramp and recoil spring still had issues! I had out of battery, multiple kinds of ammo slamming on the feed ramp including HST and gold dots! The rear sight almost fell off because of the screw loosening! Hopefully canik sends me a better one! The FMJ nose dived so hard it took a chunk out of it! I hope they fix it because I love the gun especially with the full grip 15 round mag they make now! Keeping my fingers crossed I get a good one! I had to go get a shield plus to carry because I cannot trust that canik. Right now

The FMJ were Winchester and blazer. Federal HST as well 124+p hung up. If your carry gun can’t shoot HST OR GOLD DOT there’s a serious problem! Then went out of batter 3-4x I had to tap the back of the slide. I also had like a double feed issue idk I’ve never seen it before. Questions for ya...Is this a permanent fix or are you planning on reaching out to Canik to send you a new recoil spring/guide rod assembly? If they do send you a replacement, who is to say that the replacement spring won't have the same number of coils as the original spring where the bottom two coils overlap eachother thus causing the same 'not locking back' issue? Or does Canik know about this issue and have started shipping out different recoil springs where the larger spring has a different spring rate/stiffness or wound with different number of coils?
@HotLeadretired
@HotLeadretired 3 ай бұрын
I have thought the same thing. I don’t know if it’s permanent but I’ll keep shooting it until I’m satisfied it’s reliable. I am going to reach out to Canik and ask for a replacement just in case. After I get more rounds through it I’ll post an update video. Thanks for watching.

I notified Canik Saturday by email about my situation. Today, Monday, they responded and said they’re going to send a new complete recoil spring. @@HotLeadretired I hear you. I've shot around 300 rounds of Magtech steel 115 gr and blazer brass 115gr which are both FMJ. I've only had a single failure to feed. Havn't shot any HPs yet so this may not mean much.There was one another instance where the slide didn't return all the way to battery but i simply tapped the back of the slide and it fixed itself. Anyway, after watching so many MC9 videos online, I did have to make preemptive modifications to my MC9 where I shortened the extractor spring, buffed out the feed rail and feed ramp, smoothed out the polimer frame, replaced the striker spring with the SpringCo one. But I still haven't replaced the recoil spring or cut the bottom coil like you did. I'm curious to see if the replacement recoil spring assembly that you'll receive shortly is truly an updated/redesign from the stock that the gun came with. if so, can you keep posted on exactly how different the new spring is from the old one?

That index between the upper receiver and handguard looks to have a massive gap between them…and the 1913 rail height seems to be drastically lower on the rail at the point of index vs the receiver. Is that something the camera is causing to appear so or is that how the actual fitment is?
@HotLeadretired
@HotLeadretired 3 ай бұрын
The 1913 rail is the same height as on the receiver but it’s not a full length 1913 rail. There’s no massive gap between them.
@LIONTRIBEACTUAL
@LIONTRIBEACTUAL 3 ай бұрын
so if you were to mount an optic mount (just as an example) like a one piece LPVO mount..that for whatever reason needed to be forward enough on upper receiver that it required spanning onto the handguard rail section…the index allows for it right? I’m only asking because (for reference) at the end of your video, @10:19 it appears that there is an offset
@HotLeadretired
@HotLeadretired 3 ай бұрын
@LIONTRIBEACTUAL it doesn’t have a full rail 1913 mount. There is about a 1/16” gap between the receiver and hand guard. Pass the receiver there are 4 slots on the handguard and 6 slots to mount a front sight no slots in between. It looks like you can mount an optic on the receiver and span across the gap to use the 4 slots provided on the handguard but you only have four slots to work with.
