Testing The Cold Gun Theory/ Super Wrangler

Suggestion, Get a mic so get closer to you when you're sitting and talking. There's far to many variables for this to be a legitimate test. It's easy to tweek your sight picture just enough to throw a round or two, you're moving, even when using a rest. I think the only true way to get the results you're looking for is to use a Ransom rest. Which 99.9% of us don't have.

My single six originally grouped something like your Super Wrangler. I wasn't happy with that, so I did some work on it, and tested it off a rest with a red dot mounted on it to find out what the true potential accuracy is. Turns out my Single six liked ammo that had oversized lead, or lots of wax lube. The two best loads were some Eley Contact and CCI subsonic hollow point. After accurizing the gun will consistently put them in a 6 shot group under an inch at 50 feet. The gain in mechanical accuracy came mainly from installing an oversized basepin, which eliminated the cylinder wobble. The one I installed was made by Belt Mountain.

Actually I do. That’s why I have over 2000 rounds shot through it in 3 months. I stopped shooting my other guns. Lol thanks for watching.

Does the Super Wrangler have a steel frame vs the Wrangler that has a lighter metal frame?

The super wrangler has a steel upper frame and barrel. The lower grip frame is aluminum. The hammer and trigger are stainless steel. It actually weighs a little more the the Single Six.

The Wrangler has an aluminum alloy frame, not strong enough to withstand WMR pressures. The Super Wrangler is made with a steel frame so it work well with the WMR cartridge.
