I haven’t used many other cycling specific backpacks. I give this Osprey Radial a hard time in the video but it was truly great until it broke. And the great thing about Osprey is they offered a free replacement. That being said, I know Timbuk2, Camelbak, and others make quality bags too.

I’m pretty sure no. The bolt should be “standard” right-hand thread, so it’ll loosen when turned counter clockwise. To double check, inspect the new bolt when you get it.

Did you find the rubber to be thick and stiff? I picked up a pair of HO blast 67s for free. They’re in great condition other than some scratches, but just cosmetic. I use Connelly caymans from 2017, they work great. Bindings are in great shape and aren’t tough and thick. I tried putting the HOs on, note: not the same type you have that you hate or year I mean, the bindings are the same as my caymans, but the rubber seems stiff and thick. Maybe I just need to condition them. I don’t really need two pairs, but I got em for free. My neighbor sold his boat so they aren’t using the Skis anymore. I may donate them to the local ski club or try to sell em on eBay. Also, I think they vibrate because you’re using 67s when you can ski on 63s. That’s my two cents.
@sconnieadventures
@sconnieadventures 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips! The bindings were floppy and the pull string for tightening the skis would always slip open, leaving the bindings loose. This was a few years ago though and I did end up returning these skis. I’ve got a pair of Connelly’s from the mid 90s that are the same length as this HOs and the Connelly’s done vibrate. Vibration might not be why these HOs ride so poorly, but I don’t think it helps anything. I don’t remember the model for those Connelly’s, I’ll check them when I get a chance!

Howdy guys, on my lifts there’s one nut on each side of the triangular frame piece locked against each other. The bolt is just loose enough for the knob to turn freely. There is a washer between the knob and the bolt. This way there is no movement of the bolt through the hole. Hope this helps.

So from the head of the bolt is the order: washer, red handle, but, triangular flange, nut?

@@sconnieadventures From the head of the bolt: washer, red handle, washer, nut, triangular flange, nut. One nut on either side of the triangular flange. This locks out the bolt shaft from spinning in the hole in the flange and stops the wear. When tightening, just enough to let the red handle rotate. Make sure you use a washer on either side of the red handle.

Why did you fill it to the "std" level and not the reverse level when your sled has reverse?
@sconnieadventures
@sconnieadventures 3 жыл бұрын
When I checked the level before emptying, it was filled to the "std" level, so that's how much I put back in. The service manual says to put 250mL in, but you've pointed out an interesting discrepancy in that the manual also says to only fill to the "rev" line on the dipstick. Well, the sled worked before the oil change (forward and revers) and after the oil change, so I guess it doesn't matter? Any Yamaha nerds with more knowledge than me please feel free to step in here!
@Ryan-uw1hw
@Ryan-uw1hw 3 жыл бұрын
@@sconnieadventuresThat's exactly why I commented! Both of my yamaha sleds with reverse were filled to the "std" level. Wasn't sure if it is common procedure to disregard the "reverse" side of dipstick after noticing this trend. Ultimately I chose to use the reverse level per Yamaha instructions (and it simply makes sense).
@sconnieadventures
@sconnieadventures 3 жыл бұрын
@@Ryan-uw1hw That makes sense, glad it worked for ya! Thinking about the chain case, I wonder why the different levels matter? The chain case oil just provides some lubrication to the chain that transfers power from the jack shaft (connected to the clutch) to the part that rotates the track. The chain case housing is just open space, no pressure like engine oil. So more oil should be okay? The version with reverse must have less volume inside, that's why the dipstick marking is lower?

@@sconnieadventures This is a very frustrating topic. I am dealing with the same issue with rx1. Tons of forums with no clear answers. My dealership mechanics don't even agree. The last answer they gave me was just put in 8oz and you should be okay that is not a very reassuring answer. I am just going to wing it at this point.
