Looks more like a publisher fail to me. Of course, the musician still has options to set things up so they aren't trying to hastily turn pages.

This is one reason we need to practice everyday to have the music playing in our brain and hearts,so when such situations occurs we are safe during performance. Great Timpanist!

I always practiced to the point where I could play the song without the music, I would often play songs without ever glancing at the pages during rehearsals, and the time my music fell off the stand I panicked and screwed up
