Yes the fact they let the game shut down is staggering with a little work it could have been the best. the fact that carbine Studios shut down was a shame because as soon as they shut down wild star shut down almost immediately after that wild star shut down on November 28, 2018 and carbine studios the ones behind it shut down around September 7, 2018 a little over a month then it shut down if you want to play the blame game then carbine studios would be the ones to blame for selling itself to ncsoft and not keeping the core people that made wild star work in the first place they had a few members that didn't get along well with a team and it cost us WildStar basically. the guy that made the hoverboard got in trouble for making it and implementing it in the game witch most people loved the hoverboard same for the guy that did the housing if you had a creative spirit that wasn't in line with whoever was in charge vision even though there way was clearly not working then you where effectively suppressed this is ultimately what caused wild star to fail and the fact that they where owned by ncsoft ruined their attempt at a consumer friendly business model these two issues is what ultimately led to the games failure. they should have just got rid of the members that were stopping the creative members from being creative and gave them a raise told them good job but don't do it again because if it went not good we would be having a different conversation but in stead of that they wanted a Ironclad rule structure witch was a big mistake because that stifles creativity and they needed all that they could get. they where losing players fast and needed a massive chorus correction that they couldn't do because they basically stopped anyone that tried to right the ship even though they where only part of the solution it need so many things as part of a free update it really needed to just stop making content and fix the pvp to 5 man and change the raids to where anyone could join without Attunement and limit the drop rate of gear they could get per week and change it to where you get a flying mount at level 20 if not 15 to make it easier to get around the big zones and they need controller support to try and prep for a console release and a fix to the story to put it another way basically what new world did when they saw it was not working for players except in wildstars case they did not do that and fumbled the ball. o and of course it needed to be buy to play with an optional sub that was not pay to win at all. it only really matters because wild star combat and art design we're truly unique when mixed with its story and questing the world really came alive. but a few glaring issues that were relatively easy to fix because they were easy to spot caused its end and there is nothing really like it today in the mmorpg space I for one miss it when it was at its best it was better than wow if not on final fantasy 14 level also when it was at its worse it made playing anything else way more appealing.

Hey folks. Two years is a long time. Work and life got in the way and I want to apologize for the content drought. To those that checked in on me, my sincere thanks. I’m well. While I work to reclaim and gain access to my other platforms, I’ll be needing your help. Besides GW2/ESO, I’m woefully out of the loop in terms of what new MMO’s are out or are coming out, so if there’s anything specific that you think I should look into, do suggest!

lol they made the combat even worse, got rid of pen rating and the screen shakes, making it less impactful. cant see how its any worse than any other tab target mmo and they wrecked it with legends. Recently checked out the original again. At least monsters are challenging and can actually kill you that makes it infinitly better than most modern mmo overworlds alone.

Can we play BDO on tab? And if then does it supports screen touch?

Right now this game is $20 and has tons of content 1-50, no sub required, Sub basically gives you more character slots but they have steered clear of pay to win. Very old school mmo brought into the modern era from fans of old EQ style games.

For once I would like a good online browser game that doesn't involve battles or war. I'm probably in a minority here but give me a good survival, resource, crafting, base building game where I'm not having to be in constant conflict. I'll make things worse for myself by mentioning I prefer single player and don't want allies either.

Games like this have SO much potential but they just bastardise it with pay to win elements.

5 years later I'm still waiting for something to replace this magnificent and criminally underrated game, but nothing will ever replace the incredible versatility of how insanely mod-able the game was. Well... Palia got the housing and graphics more or less down, at least. I remember the amazing housing community and theri crazy builds (and miine wasn't half-bad!). I remember "working: at Katikea and helping Katia test her Protomon Go mod... good times.

Game would have sold better if it was 16 and with sexy characters,outfits, majority of playerbase late teens and adults. No 12 years old can even play such game without parental controlls and pay for sub,devs were stupid.
