Man, hadn't been keeping up with Corepunk's updates but I guess it's not a surprise that they've been under so much development hell. Such a pity but I hope they can pull through their hardships and put forward a great MMORPG.

Covid really screwed them, you can see it with each delay video after that initial interview how it had a mental toll on the guy. People love to say remote work is better but time and time again it always seems to negatively effect development/work when it comes to actual progress. I 100% believe that if Covid didn't happen we would have gotten the CBT in 2020 and potentially even a 2nd and more by now. likely wouldn't have fully released version within that time frame though thanks to the war in Ukraine issues but at least development would have been more on track.

Never forgot bout it. Recently thought about it. I am wondering when they'll release it. HOPEfully they release it surprisingly in december so I can get it for christmas :3 that is the only other game I want this year aside from the... well... eh game "pokemon scarlet and violet"

I can understand issues they're having. I've been managing a development team in Russia when the war broke out, and a lot of developers felt depression, couldn't do their work effectively. And it's much worse in Ukraine. Just found out about this game, hope it's gonna see the light of day.

well if they keep delaying it, their hype and player base will be ruined by whatever the league of legends mmorpg will end up being, which i'm 90% sure it will be very similar to corepunk in terms of gameplay and setting.

1.) the riot mmo is gonna be a 3d action combat mmo. it wont look or play like a moba 2.) lol mmo will be everything corepunk is trying to avoid. it will be another casual,, hand holdy, overly accessible piece of crap that doesnt respect the players intelligence. (just like every other mmo in existence). remember my words : corepunk is gonna corner the market! the gaming landscape is changing. people are tired of being treated like mindless children. souls-like games are becoming the new norm and everything else is starting to get laughed out of the room. and since nobody has the foresight to predict this trend , corepunk is gonna be the only available hardcore option (not to mention first to market). those with no foresight are gonna try to inevitably try to pivot but by that times its gonna be too late.

Sorry, but their lives and their loved ones are more precious than a game. Yes, the delay was before the war but now we can all agree that focusing on a game while it's raining rockets isn't the most convenient thing. Imagine they needed to move everything and we don't know what happened on a personal level to them or their families.

Shame, I liked what you showed and discussed. Honesty would be the best for them if they ran out of money or they can not fund it they need to open up and be very transparent or they will never get a second chance.

I was so hype for this game and I will still play it when it comes out I got so many of my friends interested. But at this point they have all lost interest even I have lost interest alot. So like i may play it still when it comes out IF it even comes out at this point it lost all potential it couldve had. There is too many heavy hitters in the space now and too come at this point it will just get barried.

heavy hitters? dont make me laugh. every mmo on the market is generic, brain dead, easy mode garbage! corepunk is the epitome of hardcore! and we are now entering the era of souls-like games becoming the new norm. hand-holdy , easy mode trash is on its way out. and corepunk will stand alone in the world of hardcore. no fast travel, no party finders, no flying mounts, no instanced zones, no corridor simulator camouflaged as open world where 80^% of what you see is just scenery, no invisible walls, even world trash hits hard as nails and you need to strategize and coordinate with your entire group in order to take down mobs (not to mention everybody is gonna have to use their entire toolkit and use it well). tanks cant hold aggro to save their lives so people will have to sap, cc, shackle, sleep,kite, silence and whatever tactic available to them in order to survive even the most mundane of encounters. no tank n span bs. if i were you i wouldnt dismiss corepunk as "being buried" in the slew of new (and old) releases...cause corepunk has something nobody else has...RESPECT FOR THE PLAYERS INTELLIGENCE!

Game wont even release at this point and if it does its way to late hype has already died for this game long ago since it was suppose to release in 2020... Yet they can't even get a beta out. I hope it comes out just because it plays nothing like you described i was still looking forward to it. I just lost a ton of hype personally. If you can’t keep to a beta date then don’t promise one and just wait until it is ready, people will get more angry and annoyed if you promise then keep failing also with the war they don’t need to update just focus on your staff and safety then restart when you’re in a suitable position to do so, that being said I hope everyone who has been in the war is safe and sound ❤

One of the key gameplay mechanics is that the game is slowed WAY down. Have you always felt like every game out there runs at a speed that's 4 times faster than your brain can handle, well this game is for you. It's being developed with a brand new engine called molasses.
