Maybe you could do a station evolution series where you start out with one of the vanilla pirate asteroid stations that is switched over to you and must evolve it to your style. If you want it to have a more of a challenge, an idea would be a special rule for yourself. Large grid can only be station, all ships must be small grid!

14:40. I like using the o2 tanks as conveyors in situations like that, 2 conveyors buried behind other blocks, they never gona be used for any other direction. 1 tank = 2 straight tubes.

Don't forget to add an AI defense block to use the full range of those turrets. Assault cannons and artillery are good out to 1.4km and 2km. The turrets will only engage at 800m, the defense block allows farther range.

Trust me when I say they're not enough you need more O2 generators especially since you have two large tanks every time you have to fill up the more oxygen generators you have the faster it fills up

I'm not sure if this works, but... when trying to connect a head on a piston, rotor, or hinge, try using a timer block, 1 second timer, and it has the commands to attach the piston / rotor / hinge, and start the timer again. If you get close enough for just one second, it'll attach. I've never tried this, so I don't know if that option is available with the timer block.

Quick hint: When it comes to dealing with masses of floating debris, don't use a regular gravity generator. If you use a spherical gravity generator, it draws everything towards it. You can just collect all the debris from the generator, or any surfaces they happened to get stuck to.

You could just use magnetic plates, I know merge blocks are the new blue big ship USB ports however you can't beat old fashioned enginuity.... You might want to make a base on the moon below the station. If you made an underground moon base, for all your production, storage, and your medical, it would be protected from attack and you wouldn't be in the situation you were in. Another alternative to the moon is building inside an asteroid.

To get your pistons back from the station use a landing gear on your ship and disconnect them from the station and bring them out of the save zone them murge them and reconect to the station and voila 😊

I love your videos man but when I see you build your base i thought wow that a great idea a base on piston like this every time you go away you retract the base in the save zone and it is save but never did you use it 🤔 also you should use your build and repair to dismantle the ship you "collect ". If you color the ship to be dismantled and configure your BnR they will do the job for you...

When you're trying to find a particular item on your shi, such as when you were looking for the reactor, you can click on the option in the menu to show on HUD, I think it is. As long as it's connected to an active antenna, it will appear as a marker on your HUD, just like a GPS marker.

The Previously Owned Economy Ships mod gives the economy ship stations more inventory so you would have a better selection of ships to choose from.

I usually start new with a B-60 when Keen delete my grids for inactivity on official servers. It's also H2 one, with Jump drives and decent amount of cargos.

Maybe for a challenge in a future series you could play with the ‘industrial overhaul’ with a space start, and limit or even ban yourself from the planets!

I think I spotted the missing block (or one of the missing blocks) that was not 100% repaired. At 12:11, just as you welded the door, the Round Armor Slope is at 92%. Your welder wasn't on at the moment unfortunately. You might consider putting your ship on a 3rd person view, so as to see the actual welding tip, in order to get as close as possible. Or install another camera for that purpose.

Pretty unlucky, your second encounter was the hardest one in the game. The Factorum warship has 6 artillery turrets, a rail gun and a couple anti personnel turrets and is escorted by a couple of drones armed with assault cannon turrets, and to top all that off AI missiles spawn contently during the battle trying to blow up your ship. You definitely need a much more powerful ship to take on that encounter.
