Prey was such a great game BUT it has wokeness sprinkled in aswell. I am 100% sure it was added pretty late as a second thought too. Even the trailer for the game shows signs of later woke contamination. They literally race swapped the main character(s). Adn then theres also those cringe lesbian and gay audio logs. Seems so out of place, it ruined the atmosphere. Even the security staff was "strong whamen" leading weak men. Seriously wtf. I hope that some based modders find a way to mod all that shit out.

Prey is such an awesome game. Only downside is the stench of wokeness. Way to put a sticker on a ferrari.

Im happy that we still have original Deus ex, Human Revolution and Mankind divided, can look back and see that they were ahead of its time. I think that if we dont get dishonored 3 is blessing in diguise. Why? Well who wants to see bastartizded Dishonored 3 when 70% people who created Dishonored 2 were gone. Its like saying "Im excited for gta6" from Wokestar. The writing is on the wall you just need to open eyes.

Not that it changes anything at this point but i'm glad that i can at least keep the Deus Ex series in high regards, rather than getting a new game that may turn out disappointing (seeing Mankind Divided's breach mode in my mind as i write this).

Coming back to comment again just to say how insane it is that Square created a self fulfilling prophecy with their meddling cutting MD in half. So insane that they couldn't see how easy it would have been to rectify their mistakes with the sequel and redeem the franchise/story...

One of my favorite series of games, only played human Revolution and mankind divided, but just love the detail they put into this. Story is complex and all the writing is great. Lot of love and care obviously put into it

As Deus Ex Human Revolution came out I not liked the Fact the Game not continue with the Denton Brothers. It was like Super Mario Land turn into Super Yoshi Land or the Sonic Games turn into Shaddow Games. But I liked it and the Musik is still great and the best that could happen is that a Studio made a Movie from the complete Story. Maybe then we could get a new Game from it. I also would like to have a Remake of Deus Ex 1, sililar to all the other Remakes who was made like Final Fantasy 7.

I can't remember who said it, but I remember reading an interview a long time ago saying that Deus Ex wouldn't be revived because it's genre/subject matter just isn't popular and profitable enough to be worth making. The average gamer doesn't want to be in an anxiety ridden world, it's all about hyper saturated colours and cutesy characters.

I would have loved to get Mankind divided 2, i did not purchase day one cause my pc as not good enought, and now with a 7700 x t the game look amazing even years after its relase the style, the graphics are amzing!

Another immersive game that I played around the same time as the original Deus Ex was System Shock 2. But at least that franchise has Deep Dive doing great things for it.

I am just glad we all got that remarkable Deus Ex sequels in 2010s at all. For me they both stirred up a bit that mid 2000s DeusEx and HL3 sadness, so thanks for that, Square! 🎉

People hate Invisible War but it was a great game if you actually spend enough time in it. Playing IW before the first helps you see that.

The original Deus Ex is, to this day, my favourite PC and Playstation 2 game. Invisible War isn't a bad game (though it's not particularly good, either), but it is a *terrible* Deus Ex game. They actually got rid of so many of the features that helped make the first game so deservedly popular, such as the skill points, the way you have to upgrade your weapons skills or you remain a terrible shot with them), an *interesting* story and memorable characters who you actually cared about, locations that felt like they were set on Earth (seriously, in Invisible War, it felt like you were living in tiny segmented areas that might as well have been on another planet). Even the A.I. of the NPCs felt better in the original game, despite the original game's A.I. being less than impressive. Both Human Revolution and Mankind Divided were much better Deus Ex games, thankfully. Not up the original's standards, of course, but they were both pretty great. It's a real pity that the franchise seems to be dead (or at least trapped in cryogenics), and that no major companies (the ones with the money and pull to be able to make immersive sims) seem bothered about making similar games. The brilliant Prey (2017) apparently sold rather badly, so that might have also been a factor in the industry's reluctance to give us more immersive sims.

What a terrible piece of news to hear today even if I am MONTHS late. To see the same issue in game come to life: corporate. MEDDLING. Goddamit.

I know I'm late but i played Human Revolution and Mankind divided both when they came out during i would say was a pot head phase. I just killed everything in the game pushed through it and honestly hated it. I'm 32 now and literally just finished an all stealth no kill playthrough on both games and i have to say they are some of the best games i ever played. I have the dlc for Mankind divided still and i cant wait to devour that man.............This just goes to show that immersive sims arent wanted in the market and its a shame they are the best designed genre of games out there. Great Video man. I'm just sad....After rolling credits last night it baffels me that this great series may be done.

My problems with Mankind Divided...a story that was complete garbage (next to nothing to do with what made the original special)...buggy as shit on release (To the point where there were entire areas where NO ONE would spawn)...and next to nothing memorable, it felt like a DLC for Human Revolution at best. On top of that, it played as sluggish on low tier hardware in 2016 as it does on Mid-tier hardware NOW. Just straight up dog-shit.
