Hi . Those Westcreek Guitars look very nice. I have a Gibson Explorer and I would like to get one of these sometime in the future so I haven't tried one yet but they look super with Binding block inlays so elegant so I would my humble suggestion that add some colors like black with a white pickguard I love pickguards with zebra pickups and nickel hardware also a Korina Type model too. Thanks for opportunity to give my opinion

I would also suggest to deliver this Guitars with some kind of hard case obviously with an extra charge but to be cheap also transparent colors like cherry with flame top, And sunburst types cherry, Tobacco, you know. @@asensibleyoungman2978 here in Canada these Jet Teles are $400 and based on the one I received, they are hit or miss... The Westcreek teles are very good and I hear the Tease brand is very good as well, although Tease is harder to get here in Canada....

I wanted a Jet but you've shown the build quality and components are crap.....yet they sound and play great. It's a dilemma.

Components are super cheap and routes are super rough... Are they all this way? Probably not... When you're looking at an item on Amazon, below the listed price, sometimes there's an option that says “save with used like new“ if you click that link you can buy the item you're viewing at a reduced rate. One small issue I have with my JX-20 is how noisy the humbucker is. I have not shielded the cavities yet though. Did you find the noise got significantly better after you did the shielding?

@@andrewscottfoust can’t say for sure... Didn't play it long enough to notice. I shield all of my guitars and I never have any issues... Check the solder connections. A cold solder joint on a ground could cause noise as well...

A couple more reasons it may have been returned could be they sent the wrong color, or model. I ordered a strat once and got a tele, others have ordered green and got black and vice versa when another company shippers boxed the guitars with the wrong color ID.

It's great to have different gain levels available at your feet for rhythm and soloing at the gig. So it's a Klon clone on the left and a modded Marshall Bluesbreaker on the right. Cool. A couple years ago I bought a NU-X Plexi Crunch off Amazon in Canada for $68. Now it's about $85. It is really good at creating a smooth Marshall-like distortion. Even has a Marshall look to it with the gold knobs. The footswitch on my first one failed for some reason but it happened soon enough that I could return it for another that has held up.

The 18 volt the klon has that charge pump. I have a clone of that I run a OCD clone or a Nobles clone through it , lately I have a JOYO American sound Fender kind of thing I found for 40$ It does quite a bit for the money. I bought a Keeley darkside, and a foxy tone box I'm waiting on.

I have the NUX Horseman and I really like it for heavier stuff. NUX makes all kinds of really good gear, giving you decent value. Really nice demo, J! I watch Ted, too, but his repetition rate is too high for my impatience, so I watch his unboxings.

They’re based on the Ibanez Destroyer, the body shape anyway. The famous Ibanez ones had 3 pickups. Guy in Def Leppard had one.

@@haroldkingsumaway7228 these stock pups are really nice! And for the clean tones, I'm plugged into a small pedal board but no pedals are on. Just guitar through to the amp. The drive tones are pedals obviously! All in all, a great guitar once you swap those springs and add a shim in the neck pocket to get the proper action... I gigged with it with absolutely no issues... 🙂

@@bobbywilliams4655 maybe with a very clean / tight wires, you may be able to have the battery laying flat in the cavity below the volume and and tone pots. You could also replace the full size pots with dime size pots which may give you a little more room, but either way it would be tight. I'd just rout out a small cavity for the battery under the pickguard adjacent to the control cavity then drill a hole from the battery route through to the control cavity...🤔

@@c0uchsl0uch the body is a V shape so long yes... But big and bulky? No! It feels small and it is very light. I would guess around 7 to 7.5lbs max!

@@c0uchsl0uch 20 inches is the outside length of the wing from the very point to where the body tapers into the neck. For comparison, a Strat is about 18 inches from the top horn to the bottom strap button edge. 😀

If the bridge is where you want it before you start. i.e.flat, I would block it then before taking the strings off. It's a little easier. Nice work tho' :)

@@BarrieT I did but only afterwards. Just bent it forward using the Trem and slid a white eraser under the Trem. Worked well... That should of been in the video🤔

@@j-man9457 I saw that, and the idea of an eraser instead of a wood block is a cool idea. I only do it first as it maintains the tension on the trem springs so that when you restring, everything is where you want it to be. I guess everyone has their own methods that work for them. A good Floyd Rose double locking vibrato system is unmatched for tuning stability, and perfect for heavy metal players who like to do dive bombs, although it really is kind of a pain in the neck to set up properly and to change strings on. Also, between the Original, 1000, Special, and all the various licensed and unlicensed knockoffs out there, it’s difficult to know for sure how well any given FR-type system will perform.

@@zuperdee yeah... I hear ya! I think good springs and correct spring tension is key. Once intonation is dialed in, they are an easy bridge to work with! Way easier to set up than I anticipated...

It's good to have a reverse headstock for when you automatically reach up there to tune. The reverse headstock will remind you to tune at the other end of the guitar.

@@Vern859 hahaha! I hear ya! Sitting down, yes they are not comfortable at all, however standing with a strap, they are surprisingly comfortable and very easy to play. The fret board is totally accessible, even the 24th fret, and they have virtually no neck dive. So I can see why hard rockers love these! 🤘

Spring tension is key to get right and intonation is a pain as you have to loosen the string and unlock the saddle then move the saddle by hand, then locknut down, then retune, then check again, and if you're still off you have to do it again... Very time consuming for sure!
