Genuinely lovely and wonderful. Perhaps finish the wood with boiled linseed oil or bees wax. That way the complexity of the mandala is contrasted by the understated finish of the rest.

Markus, For your comment to hold any weight and/or merit with me, I'm gonna need you to send me photos and videos of you building this exact table, or even one remotely similar to it. You can build it by hand or by using a CNC machine. And if you do, you have my word as a gentleman that I will show your project in one of my next videos giving you full credit for it and shower you with accolades. I dare you to do it. Otherwise, I will consider you an internet troll that has nothing better to do than to post derogatory comments about subjects that you have absolutely no knowledge of or the capability of doing yourself. Because it's been my experience than a true creator/woodworker shows respect to anyone who takes the time to create something positive and it wouldn't even enter their mind to say something like you just did, regardless of the method they used to create it. Have a nice day! :)

I’m new to CNC about 4 month lol and I’m really good with computer and wood working but I tell you when you combine the two it truly is at another level. It’s not easy at first. Not to mention the math I ignored in school was a mistake. That comment I made 37 years ago about I won’t need this math had come back to bite me in the buttocks. Well whoever gets into CNC all I can say is have fun because it truly is beautiful work

Nice! I am starting to research CNC for wood designs. Would like to create different products. I have ran CNC for cutting metal years ago, but I have a lot to learn about wood.
@MandSWoodworks
@MandSWoodworks 8 күн бұрын
Wood isn't more or less than difficult than metal, but it is a bit more forgiving than metal, imho. I say this with limited experience with metal, so I am really not an authority on the subject. Just like different types of metal and their density, you have the same with wood. It's all about finesse and patience with both. :) Thank you for watching!

What spindle are you running? Odd to me that Onefinity doesn’t sell one like some other brands do…..
@MandSWoodworks
@MandSWoodworks 8 күн бұрын
I'm running one of the cheapo Chinese spindles, but I haven't had any trouble out of it in 3 years. It's the Hy Huanyang 2.2kw Spindle and VFD. I don't judge Onefinity. They started out just selling the hardware of the machine. What little they do endorse these days is due to pressure from the public. I think it's smart from a business perspective. They keep the overhead low and they only have one piece to support. And due to the design of it, it keeps it somewhat modular and you can add whatever you want to it, and not be limited by what they provide. Thank you for watching!!

Genius! I've got a Longmill MK2.5 48x30. I've tried them all, the T-tracks, threaded inserts, T-nuts and I'm not happy with any of it. I will be stealing every bit of your design, including the removable part for my Vortex 4th axis. I'm interested in seeing how you made the vertical insert. Do you have a video about that?
@MandSWoodworks
@MandSWoodworks 10 күн бұрын
Steal away, and good luck with it! Unfortunately no, I don't have a video specifically for that. It was actually very easy to make. Admittedly, I shamelessly copied the design from a guy who sells the plans on Etsy, but I did buy the plans from his Etsy store and then make what I wanted. I didn't use his cutting files, but I did reverse engineer it to work with my setup and I used his plans as a template. Here is a link to it, if you're interested. www.etsy.com/listing/1172990836/vertical-mounting-table-fixture-for-cnc

@@MandSWoodworks Thanks for the link. I'll have to modify it as well. I plan on putting it on the x-axis like you did, but I'll have to move it farther to the right, since I have drawers under the left side of the table. I'm not entirely sure if I want to go through the trouble to make it. I use my table saw and router table to do those types of joinery. Anyway, I'll download the file, just in case I change my mind, which I tend to do on a regular basis.

@@ronhansen7717 In all honesty, I've only used it on a project a couple of times since I built it, but it did come in handy. It's one of those things that you don't really need, but it's cool to have. I've played around with circle joints, dove tails and the like and it's actually fun. Good luck!

Just my $0.02, finish it with Danish Oil. The color would closely match the art inside the plexi. I love the look of it. How does the feel of the plexiglass stack up to the look of the table? I don't mean to criticize anything you've done here as it looks great, I was just wondering why you didn't use glass. Also, thank you for the great video. I'm new here and will be following.
@MandSWoodworks
@MandSWoodworks 11 күн бұрын
Thank you for the suggestion! And you ask a valid question about the glass. Using glass was actually my first thought but several factors led me to the acrylic. Firstly, the tempered glass pane I would have needed for this size was about 5 times the cost of the acrylic sheet and put me way over budget. Glass would also have been twice as heavy, and it's already pretty heavy as it is now. And lastly, though I know my kid would do her best to take care of it, I feared that one Friday night party and one rambunctious person showing off their new dance moves would have led to a giant crack down the surface of the glass top. I figured the acrylic would be more resilient in a 20 something's living room. Lol. When she's older and settled down in a more permanent home, I wouldn't think twice about building her something of better quality. Thank you for watching!
