I had stopped using Corel Painter 2018 because my Mac would not run it because it was an older version, then was supported. I have switched now to a new PC and should have no trouble running the new version. Not using it for so long, I had forgotten how to do the cloning. Thank you for this video. It’s excellent. It gets to me back to where I was. Plus she had some really good tips that I didn’t know. Excellent presentation slow easy to understand.

I have those crashing problems in Corel painter 2023 usually when manipulating layers (scalin, rotating, etc). That is the worst aspect of Painter and I don't know who's fault it is - Corel Painter or Microsoft windows (I use a PC).
@marjoriestallard12724 ай бұрын
I am soooo sorry, that used to happen with the older versions. I haven't had a crash in at least 5 or 6 years. Message Corel, they are awesome to work with. Maybe graphics card?

Erasing the smudged layer on top of the photo is very funny. I've been working with paints for almost 30 years and believe me, real painting doesn't look like that. Your method isn't even an imitation.

Yes, there are many opinions on digital art and AI art. But as a traditional artist as well as a digital artist, I encourage people to channel their inner creativity, so, if this is the only method they have access to do it, I absolutely encourage it. Art is a Therapy, and I want Art, of any kind, to encourage positive mental health. So, just allow everyone to be happy!!! If this brings them happiness, encourage them, regardless of how you personally feel about it. I appreciate your comment, and I hope I have given you an understanding to how I feel any form of art should be approached. <3 Encourage, never discourage.

I want to make a script of an Auto-Paint and apply it to an animation, but it either does nothing, or applies the brush in a way that is not what I recorded, or hangs up in an endless loop. Is it even possible to do this? (P.S. I have subjected myself to the abuse of seeking an answer from Corel support, to no avail)
@marjoriestallard12722 жыл бұрын
When I do not know the answer, I say just that "I do not know!" I find it interesting that it affects your brush. I can research this, but I am not certain I will be able to get the results. My daughter works with animation and Painter both, so I shall ask her too. What animation program are you using?

Also you can drag ur fave brushes in their own window and link multiple window groups into a big group that u can scroll through. you will have all ur fave brushes there and sont have to try to find it by going into all thoes catagories, especially if theres a brush from another painter version or something
@marjoriestallard12723 жыл бұрын

lol instead of complicating things with an autoclone or whatever, i just duplicate the canvass and just have it as a refrance or i can hide it all together. if you mess up, you can always make another duplicate of the canvas layer, can even load a privious save
@marjoriestallard12723 жыл бұрын
Correct, or open in your "Reference Image" pallette window which is how I prefer. I always draw and paint free hand any more, with practice everyone can. This was a requested video on how to clone paint, so I provided it. I always tell everyone in my courses, "There is more than one way to skin a cat!" (and I hate that saying).
