Good to see that electronic painting/drawing takes the same patience as traditional painting: a simple mouseclick - as the name "autopainting" suggests - would always give the same results. Thanks for showing this!

agreed ... a "computer generated" auto painting typically gets you the same results .... adding your own paint strokes (with a Wacom art pen or a stylus, never a mouse) makes it different, authentic, and your own

Great tutorial for a beginner like me! I have a question. How do I find the "Brush Calibration" box that is on the bottom right of your video? You had calibrated your brush and clicked within this box. What is the purpose of calibrating your brush? I do not see this box in my set up. Any direction would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Many ways to get to it .... Edit, Preferences, Brush Tracking OR Window, Brush Control Panels, Brush Calibration .... the reason for doing this is because you always handle your stylus, or art pen differently. One day you may be softer than other or more heavy handed. So I leave it up and it I feel my brush isn't behaving I use it, or if I get up and walk away I always re do it. I do notice a difference when I use it :) Hope this helps.

What a lovely tutorial! Very clear to understand and I was able to follow along with my own portrait! The instructor has a clear method, and explains it in an easy to understand, step by step voice with examples.

I want to make a script of an Auto-Paint and apply it to an animation, but it either does nothing, or applies the brush in a way that is not what I recorded, or hangs up in an endless loop. Is it even possible to do this? (P.S. I have subjected myself to the abuse of seeking an answer from Corel support, to no avail)
@marjoriestallard12723 жыл бұрын
When I do not know the answer, I say just that "I do not know!" I find it interesting that it affects your brush. I can research this, but I am not certain I will be able to get the results. My daughter works with animation and Painter both, so I shall ask her too. What animation program are you using?

Hi, how do you “toogle out of the paper so you can watch it paint”?
@marjoriestallard12724 жыл бұрын
On a PC CTRL T turns tracing paper on and off to be able to watch it paint. Hope this helps.
