Thanks for sharing! Love your videos. Would love to know how you would add a teleprompter into this set up please. On a separate tripod?
@CourseBuildersAcademy6 күн бұрын
No, I would use a teleprompter with the camera mounted behind it so as I was reading I would be looking directly down the lens of the camera. Here's a video were I go into using a teleprompter: kzbin.info/www/bejne/goqrmKqjYquVjdU
@EmilyCook-l3u6 күн бұрын
@ thank you! Yes I watched that one, very helpful. My question is more around how to attach it into a studio set up like this, do you usually have your teleprompter (with camera mounted) attached to one of the arms? Or it’s too heavy and would need to be on a tripod / something else? Thanks!
@CourseBuildersAcademy6 күн бұрын
if I was using a full sized teleprompter I would likely mount it on a tripod

If you have a phone with a USBC connection you can just use a USBC CABLE if not you will need a TRS to TRRS cable

Is it possible to change the header above the payment option section - currently it's just showing the price but it would be great if I could somewhere change it. I have checked the code but couldn't see an obvious spot where it's pulling the price in?

Bless your soul! I was watching other videos and they were showing the file management setting which I believe helps on the export (was a problem I also had so hope that helps) but wasn't working on the import! This did! I also saw a comment on another video that said you need to change the format of your iphone camera in your iphone settings from High Efficiency to Most Compatible. Looking at the description in the settings, that seems to make sense. So I made all three of these changes. I also bought premiere pro strictly because I thought it was just Davinci Resolve, but this same color error was happening in there too so now I can cancel it :).

Hi Andrew! Great video and gooooood points on cheap vs. good capture cards. I've been using CamLinks since the pandemic, never had any issues. This video was made a while ago, and I'm a bit late to the game. I'm thinking of getting the Decklink Quad but this Sonett enclosure is almost $100 more expensive than the OWC Mercury Helios 3S that also supports this card. SO now I'm contemplating about which one to get... Have you experienced any issues lately regarding the Decklink Quad getting "locked" into one app only? Like, if you install it, install the BlackMagic driver, you then open Ecamm, configure. the cameras and everything, but then if you open ZOOM, it won't register the presence of the Quad at all. It won't work with Quick Time, Keynote, nada. The only hope is these apps (like ZOOM) can recognize the Ecamm's virtual camera... Thanks!

The question is, what happens to the audio quality, after transferring it via so many intermediaries. USB hub, USB adaptor, and so on. The USB hub has its own power, that means electricity (which can create noise), and the USB adaptor is also used for charging the device. Where is the benefit of using an XLR? I better feel like buying a USB mic. Or? Convince me otherwise. Great video by the way :)

Stumped. They sounded close enough to the same for me. I might argue that the SM7B had a little bit better response in the lower range, but that could just be my imagination. Thanks for sharing this great tip. Can't wait to see what other tricks you've got in your bag.

thank you for the comment, but here's the thing and it's my pet hate. We judge people on what they have before we judge what they know. I'm not having a pop at you here BTW. I want to point out that the world in which we live is based on people wanting to be like someone else, instead of being a better version of yourself. I love making these videos and love it when kind people like you talk the time to write something that causes an effect. Please keep watching, that means a lot to me.

Ga Day Andrew, watching your programs and loving them. One question about a camera. I have a Sony A 5100 with no plugin for sound. Whats your recommendation for this? Thanks
@CourseBuildersAcademy27 күн бұрын
without buying a different camera you would have to record your sound separately. If you're doing recorded videos you can sync the audio and video up in post or if you're doing live videos you could just Ecamm or OBS, or if you're using Zoom it kinda does it for you, not perfect sync, but good enough for most cases
@GolfCoachBuddy27 күн бұрын
Andrew, thanks for the great video. Your work is very helpful in setting up my studio. Based on this discussion, how do you determine the optimal distance to have the camera from your face? Say the difference between 3 feet versus 2 feet for example? Thanks.
@CourseBuildersAcademy27 күн бұрын
there is no doubt some math formula you can use, but I just adjust roughly with the view finder on the camera and then do test shots and adjust, when I'm happy I just mark the floor with some tape or something and that's it - rough but it works and since you're not doing it everyday it's not a big deal
@GolfCoachBuddy27 күн бұрын
@@CourseBuildersAcademy Thanks Andrew. I was referring to choosing between the 23 mm lens and the 30 mm. I'm trying to guess which one fits my set/application best before I buy. Cheers.
@CourseBuildersAcademy27 күн бұрын
@@GolfCoachBuddy it's a bit of a personal choice, I like the 23mm so I can have the camera a little closer, at 30mm you would have to move the camera further back to get the same view. I made a little calculator that may help you: asweeney.com/Camera%20Distance%20Calculator.xlsx
