I've got all for my lumber cut for this project, but it's kind of hard to decipher what board lengths are used for which cart and sections! If you would be able to get me started with the dimensions of the base unit on the rear door cart, I should be able to get going from there. Or if you could throw some of the measurements onto the plans that would be really helpful. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I bought some Mopar LED takeoffs for my father-in-law's 2018 JL. He doesn't care about the halo, so I'm guessing it should just be a plug-and-play install. Did you need to use a Tazer for the basic headlights (low and high beams) to function correctly with no flicker? UPDATE: Yes, the Jeep needed to be programmed to prevent the OEM LED headlights from flickering.

I like this device and I am considering it since the alternative won’t work for me - I prefer the bolt keyed hood lock or the mopar key hood lock but I am getting the front trail camera so the camera will be in the way so as far as I have been able to find out this is my only other option without having to change the 2 hood levers outside. So with this being said I have some build quality issues of concern. What if the device breaks how would you get the hood open ? Or the hose melts how could you get the hood open ? Or what if the air hose gets a leak and won’t hold air how would you get it open ?

Question. The 7 bolts for the skid plate assembly. (5) under the that attach to the bumper, (2) that attach to the frame near those brackets. Did those come with the skid plate? Or were those bolts already used on the plastic. Reason I’m asking is I’m finally getting around to this mod but I found a local seller versus getting raped by the dealer. Only issue is he has no hardware for anything including the bumper itself. He just has the full bumper and the skid. But the deal is sweet so don’t wanna pass. The bumper I’m assuming I can use the hardware bolts I have already from my plastic bumper mainly the 4 nuts on each side that attached to the bolts near the tow hooks. But the skid I will have to get the brackets and nutserts for. Just wondering about the other bolts for the skid. I’m assuming I’d have to order those too?

@@thomasshoff2965 You can't pry the locking mechanism open with a screwdriver. This system uses compressed air to actuate the locking mechanism. The only way to release the lock is to release the air in the system. Since the air lines are not accessible with the hood closed, it's a fairly fool proof and theft proof system.

@@jt8251 Not the locking mechanism, the hood latch itself extends farther down than the shield they provide. If you look through your grill you will see the bottom of the latch that you can pry to the side with a screwdriver when the locking mechanism is engaged; I’m using the locking mechanism without actual air or power because they did not inform me that it does not work for manual jeeps.

I seen you mentioned something about getting a new one for the steel bumper. Not doubting you but I’m wondering why considering it looks exactly the same as mine now I have on my non steel overland bumper. Also I just seen someone on the gladiator forum that did the upgrade as well and mentioned he kept his (although only difference I can think of with his, is that he has a rubicon to start but has one which initially has the regular plastic bumper you had and I have currently) Any reasoning????

Hey Sarge - if I recall correctly, I looked up the part online and it was a different part number for the Steel Bumper. To be honest though, that piece of plastic is kind of a joke and isn't very 'special'. I just like factory options (for the most part) and well that was the part # I found online.

I like this cover, I currently carry refrigerants i.e. R410, R134, R22 & my MOPAR hard cover barely closes when I'm carrying a full bed load, with that being said, I would like to see this manufacture rise the support beams or redesign the support beams & lift shocks to the point where it is not flush with the bed line. I am able to adjust a small amount but not weatherproof!!! With materials available today, should be a no brainer to open the top bed cover area, for some breathing room, or design a extended horizontal system that allows the user to extend an inch or so vertically? Also, I would like to see a 1.5 to a 2' cage system for campers can easily toss and tie down cargo on the top of this system. But overall look sweet!!!
