How did you get such great audio in the wind at 0:18 ? Was it recorded from the onboard microphone or added from another source?
@papayajuice3 күн бұрын
you're absolutely right, it was added sound effects!! No way that was from the onboard microphone, It was very windy that day. But it did help a lot when I use a dead cat in such condition.

Hi, I am not very good in grading. You can find a lot of good grading tutorials in KZbin for Osmo action 4. Basically I just applied the official DJI D-Log LUT and play with the color and exposure a bit. You can download the LUT from here www.dji.com/sg/downloads/softwares/dji-osmo-action-4-d-log-m-to-rec-709-vivid-lut

The comparison from original footage can be quite subtle on some footage. In the first place the original footage was already upscale as it was exported using a 4k timeline . But some of the footage can still see substantial enhancement. Need to view in 4k and bigger screen to really see the differences.

@papayajuice20 күн бұрын
5.13 was along hooker valley track. 7.03 was along the way to Mt.Cook. 7.18 was end of hooker valley track. Basically it was all at Mt cook. Basically Hooker valley is just one of the few hiking trails at Mt. Cook. Check out our entire NZ series, there are quite few nice hiking/walking trails at Mt. Cook. we did not even have time for all of them, we just did 2. If you like the scenery, it's all at Mt. Cook. Cheers

Hi. How many days did you spend at Margaret river?
@papayajuiceАй бұрын
3 days 2 nights. But technically only had 1 full day to really explore around. We reached around late afternoon the first day and had a full evening there. Second day we done most of our activities and 3rd day we check out early in the morning to our next destination. This was our second time there so our activities are different from our first visit. So if you have time can consider staying for a 3rd night as its quite a relaxing place with some places of interest surrounding it.

Amazing, I have one and I´m so happy with it. Which rig did you use?

Thanks. I did not get any additional rig. Just the standard package box set. I just attached my existing mini tripod/handle for the grip and that's it. Now I mainly use the osmo action 4 to replace my mirrorless camera+wide angle lens for POV shots whenever there is ample light. Its just so convenient.

(I think for sharpness can go lower than 0) - manual WB - rocksteady plus - D-log profile - auto exp EV+0.0, SS 1/200 to 1/8000 - ISO auto 100-6400 This setting is for daytime when there is ample of light. I will most likely make a video basing on my understanding of DJI Action 4, sharing the details of different settings on different scenarios and explaining why.

My honest opinion. Video quality is a little bit grayish
@papayajuice2 ай бұрын
Thanks for commenting. I am trying out different style of grading instead of doing it the same way on every videos. The colour is more dull here as I try to take away some black to make it less saturated. Especially for footages on Osmo action 4 as action camera are known to create very saturated video. And most videos were taken on very cloudy and foggy days, colours does not reflect well with absent of light. Thanks and cheers!!

Visiting NZ in Sep. Would you recommend Wilderness compared to Britz/Appollo?
@papayajuice3 ай бұрын
Hi, my recommendation may be obsolete now as that was a few years back. Back then I chose Wilderness because their internal fitting is more luxurious and looks more comfortable. There are also more layout selection then. And we get quite a good discounted rate from them as we rented 3 of them. But I am not sure if the other companies had upgraded their fleet now or not. I think a few points you might wanna take note is what is included in the package, like outdoor table and chairs, outdoor BBQ set etc. Also in my opinion, try to get those layout with shower and WC separated so that at any one time other occupants can still use the WC if someone is showering. A lot of time WC and shower are together. Have fun and Cheers!!

Hi! Catchy video!! Thinking of gg to your list of places. May u know if you hired a driver to pick u from Taipei and drive to all the places? May I know roughly how much please thanks!
@papayajuice4 ай бұрын
Yes we hired a driver, and it cost us twd 7800, but that's because there were 6 of us and we need a 8 seater. I think it should be cheaper if u do not require a big car. It's pretty much a whole day booking. Most of the time Taiwanese driver is as good as a tour guide. In my experiences, they are very professional and knowledgeable, and most of them know where to find good authentic local food. U can discuss your itinerary with them or have them plan out for you. Cheers.

What would you suggest for a couple? Is public transport and Uber ok? Would love to visit the places in your nice video too. @@papayajuice
@papayajuice4 ай бұрын
I think for our itinerary, public transport might be difficult as the travelling distances is quite substantial. I'm not sure if there is Uber in Taiwan, but even then it will be hard to get them or even a normal cab as its country side area and cabs are rare. From my experiences, your best bet is still hiring a driver for a day, and it could be a cab driver as well. Or alternatively you can always rent a car, but I had never drive in Taiwan before because their traffic light signal are too confusing for me!!!

May I know if you rented the car from Chiangmai To Mae Kampong ? Or any recommendation to go there for one day visit as I plan to go there for two ppl only? Appreciate your answer too :)
@papayajuice5 ай бұрын
We rented our car from Chiang Mai airport. But we visited Mae Kampong on the way back from Chiang Rai. The drive from Chiang Mai to Mae Kampong is around 1 hr with some up and down slopes and curves, not a difficult drive in my opinion. I heard there are public van or bus transportation services from Chiang Mai to Mae Kampong, You may need to google for more info. Renting a bike is another good option if you guys are confident rider. I think it is more flexible if you have your own transportation as there are quite a few very nice cafes on the way up, also waterfall and view point on the very top. I'm not sure how feasible if you guys are renting a car for only 1 day as we rented the car for our whole 10 days Northern Thailand trip. Cheers!!

Ordered food took 30 minutes to prepare, cook, and deliver. Not bad. Rooms are great. Was able to shower and sleep in peace. Great breakfast that starts from 7am til 10am.
