Our show is for all and welcome in Japanese and English and enjoy speaking to visitors. We welcome in English too and enjoy speaking. He slowed for him and was good exchange. It is considerd rude to speak too slowly assuming one cannot speak English.

The USB connector at 13:00 minutes is the same as on a Yaesu FT-991A used for Data Modes. The FT-991A transceiver has a built-in USB to Dual UART Bridge, allowing direct connection from the rear-panel USB jack to the USB jack of your computer without the need of any external boxes.(Yes, a printer cable).

Yeah with little information it is a difficult one to estimate but it has USB-C, APRS, GPS, big screen, remote head, bluetooth, etc. so that may be a good guess considering their HT is $700+!

I wish they gave more information but they just didn't. I'm sure they will release more as we go forward. I found out later what we saw isn't even the 'final product'. But at least we know they are working on a new mobile and it does look nice so far!

We expected from Kenwood a radio with multiple digital modes. Not just DSTAR! A few years ago, Kenwood said that it would be easy for them to make such a radio and that if there was demand, they would do it. I think there is no doubt, there is a strong demand for a radio that combines the main digital modes used in amateur radio. Please Kenwood, your radio is still in development. Make a radio with multiple digital modes!!!!

I like Kenwood and Icom, I have some of their analog radios. But DStar is a hard sell around here. There's no repeaters except one 10 watt repeater here.

The guy even took the plexibox off for me. So I showed you what the title said 'New Kenwood Mobile Radio Reveal' but thanks for watching and comment. One important question: full duplex or not? We need TX on 2m and RX on 70cm (or opposite) simultaneously for LEO SATs and QO-100 operation. Any information regarding that? Big discussion is going on in Europe and no one is knowing it right now. It was not understandable regarding SAT.

All I have seen, on their handout, was ATAS 25. I can't believe it won't be ATAS 120 compatible. I guess time will tell as they release more information.

Most people don't know that you can customize the refreshing speed of the spectrum on the menu settings. Just change the 2D and 3D DISP SENSITIVITY to Normal instead of High (default).
