People don't realize where their meat comes from and how. From a member of a Turkish farmer family to every rancher and farmer in the world, thanks for doing this.

I would have loved to been able to live a life like this. It is hard work but I wanted to do something like this since I was a kid. I wound up joining the Marine Corps in 1970 and I served for 30 years. But I read about the art of being a cowboy. I thought I knew how to ride a horse but these people make it an art. Great video!! Thanks for sharing it with us.👍🥹🙏💯🐎🐎

Phenomenal video! You folks are incredible!! Ranching has been my life long dream. I come from farming and livestock country. I've always understood that it's not glamorous and it's lots of hard work and uncertainty. Keep up the great work! God is good!

Even people that eat beef don’t appreciate the work and effort that goes into raising cattle. I want to say thank you to all of the people that raise cattle and I appreciate the work you do.

I am a young Frenchman from the countryside. I'm not a farmer's son, and there's no ranch here, but I grew up in the country and those are my roots. I must admit that I discovered the ranching life thanks to Yellowstone, but the simplicity and authenticity of this way of life is very dear to me. I envy your freedom, the freedom to do what you love. Here in France, you can't have your own land. Even if you buy it, it will always belong to the state. Whether you're a landlord, a farmer, or whatever you want and you can’t do what you want on it. I dream of a simple life like yours, even though I know it's hard. Nothing is more authentic, nothing is truer than to have your own land, to work it, whether as a farmer or a rancher, and to support your family or the country. I envy you and I hope that God will give me the opportunity one day to live a life like I want to live, with its ups and downs, but simple and authentic like yours. Thank you for what you are doing in your life. God bless you and your family

save money and move to Nicaragua. here you can buy 40 acres for 60K with rivers crossing the property. And also cattle starting $800 a heifer. think about it. Im a rancher here and its a great business. workers earn $200 A MONTH .

My Mom's family homesteaded in eastern Oregon in 1903 and my uncles were still ranching when I was growing up. So even though I never lived on the ranch, I've herded cattle on horseback, milked cows, branded calves and fed hay off a horse drawn wagon in January. It's the hardest work I've ever done. However, we ought not to perpetuate the romantic mythology about ranching in the American West. Homesteaders were able to get land because the US government conducted a century long campaign of genocide against American Indians. Let's not sugar coat that reality. Also, it's intellectually dishonest to ignore the cost paid for raising food this way. These folks work their butts off, it's true, but they couldn't survive without the ag subsidies and public lands to graze. Those are public resources they depend on, from the government and all taxpayers. Unfortunately, decades of overgrazing and heedlessness in ag waste management have resulted in severe habitat loss, damage to water ways and pollution. So, yes let's appreciate the folks who produce our food, but not ignore the social and environmental costs that go with it.

Talking to Idaho Ranchers, many are not happy with ID Beef Council and the checkoff, or the ID Cattle Association. They call it a good ol boys Network. Sounds like Montana has better councils/associations.

the climate cult is just that a radical group of people who will mandate everyone else and do nothing but profit from their tyranny do not allow the GODless liberals and their ultra wealthy owners anything ranchers and farmers by necessity are environmentally friendly

I come from Germany and was in June for branding in Montana on a ranch. In me, a cowboy lives in the wrong country. I became so aware of this during this time. At home I live with my horses on our little ranch. I worked a lot on farms. But one thing is missing here in Germany, the spirit and the passion. Montana has awakened something in me that has touched my heart, but the pain of not living it hurts a lot. The people... Cowboys and cowgirls.... the hard work that is done.... every time I see pictures or videos my heart beats faster, it smells like burnt fur and dust...... the permanent barking of the cows that rumble through the valley and the sweat in the eyes..... I love this country the people and your spirit.... Long lives Cowgirls and Cowboys ❤❤❤

This honestly made me tear up. As a Texan, I can’t imagine not being surrounded by cowboys and cowgirls. I’m still not quite where I wanna be as far as my cowboyin skills and my day-to-day lifestyle… but I can see it on the horizon. To be so far from where your soul belongs is heart wrenching. I’m truly sorry.

Retired Usda range mgt. specialist. Glad to see young ranchers adapting to newer science and technology to keep on ranching on a sustainable basis. Old hardheaded ranchers are going broke every year. Pounds of beef is what matters. God, family and soil health insure the prosperity of a ranch and farm operation. May God continue to bless you.
