Hi, thanks for the awesome video, I am learning so much from your tips, quick question, I didnt understand from where in Bangkok and what transportation did you take to get to where you took the speedboat to get to the island Samet? I appreciate your response, thanks again buddy
@wanderlustingwithjoe4 күн бұрын
You can take a bus from Bangkok's Ekkamai Bus Terminal to Ban Phe, which is the only port to Koh Samet. The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours, and the fare ranges from 150-250 THB per person. At the pier you can choose the slow cheaper boat to Koh Saket? Or for additional money; you can negotiate a speed boat

Hi, thanks for sharing your tips, would u mind sharing if we need to book in advance to get the ticket to visit the SKY WALK at Mahanakon tower? how much was the ticket? another question, how much was to pay for the longtail boat from Phi Phi to Ralay Beach? thanks a lot, Peace Sebastian
@wanderlustingwithjoe8 күн бұрын
I did not buy Mahanakon tickets in advance, but you can and maybe skip the line/. Here is link. kingpowermahanakhon.co.th/

I booked a private Longtail boat from Koh Phi Phi to Railay. It is negotiable at the docks. It was not cheap as it was an all day adventure and required a lot of fuel for him to return - I don’t remember price. You can also take ferry ⛴️ for much less money if on budget

Where can I find the water taxi dock locations. I want to see a map so I know the closest one for me to get on and see what areas it goes to know where to ask to get off. I can't find any maps of the docks and their names.
@wanderlustingwithjoe10 күн бұрын
At some of the docks in my videos there are canal maps on the walls to give you references. All I can say is start from the locations I give you in my two water taxi / canal videos and try to learn from there. Most information on these will be in Thai- these are not designed for tourists

Thanks a lot for this really valuable information. I have only two remarks. 1) I do not understand the calcalation of the ATM. My calculation is the following for 10000 Baht: (10000/35.37)*1.05+(220/35.37) = 303.08 USD and not 303.82. Where is my mistake.? 2) I give you the list ofthe exchange locations you showed in the video. And I have a different location of Superrich, which in my opinion has the best exchange rate in Bangkok k79 money exchange 2063 Sukhumvit Rd :USD 282.88 USD Twelve Victory Exchange Sukhumvit 1031 1 Sukhumvit 53/1 Alley: USD 280.74 SuperRich Exchange Ratchadamri 67,69,71 Soi Ratchadamri 2 (maybe the rate is even better than Victory Exchange above): USD $280.90

Hi Joe, just dicover your chain, I like it :-) in case you didn't know, for everyone's information, Jim Thompson was a fascinating man. First at all he was an OSS (currently CIA) agent in the 40's in Bangkok, then became in the 50's the silk Tycoon in Thailand. When he "disappeared" some people were heavily looking for his testament, and even pais a deadly visit to his sister in the US. The Jim Thompson C° still manufactures beautiful dresses, shirts and beautiful handbags in silk that you can see and buy at the JT house or in their beautiful shop at Icon Siam. :-) When visiting JY's house, please pay a visit to the beautiful OSS bar, each time I visit it, I feel like I will see E. Hemingway in a corner :-) The restaurant is also wonderful. Definitely worth the visit, mainly end of the afternoon.

What Ghent does have, and Bruges and Brussels don't, is a medieval castle. With all the trimmings, including torture instruments.

7:56 almost no Ghent visitors mention the "Cuberdons" or "neuzekes" (little noses) a gum arabic based candy. Traditional taste is raspberry (the dark ones on the left) but apparently about 25 different tastes exists. Chewy on the outside, softer on the inside.
