I'm not familiar with them, but it sounds like a fun pair of characters to face off. It makes me start thinking of stupid pairings like Raskolnikov from Crime and Punishment and Hannibal Lecter. Raskolnikov commits an ill planned, sloppily executed murder and spends months agonizing internally over his fancied role as a superior specimen unbound by the timid "laws" of God and man before being broken beneath his burden of guilt, accepting the necessity of suffering in his journey to redemption, and turning himself in to face his just lot in a Siberian purgatory. Meanwhile, Hannibal Lecter dislikes what that new viola player has done to the St. Petersburg Philharmonic's sound, casually murders said player and serves up his sweetbreads at a fancy dinner he throws for the financial board, and sits back and basks in adulation as his soiree is declared THE social event of the season. Who wins? Well, I guess it depends on one's definition of "winning." 😂 Thanks for the video, and have a good one!

Great video! My WHY is to hopefully a few book taste twins to get recommendations from! Clancy was my intro, in my early teens read everything by the guy straight up to Teeth of the Tiger or so, whenever it was the ghost writers took over. Aside from that, every now and then I'll pick up a Ludlum (only 9 of his left to read, so few and far in between now!), a Lee Child (think I've read half of them?), or on the more adventure side of things I'll pick up a Steve Berry or Jack Du Brul (loved these, MC's a geologist, the books are a cool blend of action adventure and science/technothriller). Cool video!

@@Already-Overbooked Oh! In that case, a quick rundown: - Robert Ludlum's the guy behind Jason Bourne, his books are nearly all conspiracy adventures. - Steve Berry's stuff is hidden treasure action adventure type books, fun to read now and then. - Jack Du Brul's written very few books but they're all incredible action adventures that include quite a bit of scientific nuance to them, severely underappreciated guy. Lately he's been writing under the Clive Cussler banner, but the books I'm thinking about are his own Philip Mercer adventures.

Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs by Tom Harris have always been favorites, but you might categorize those more as crime thrillers.
