Here we use, UK style quiver tip rods, or around 3lb tc rods for the method feeder fishing. For PTL we use 6 & 8lb tc free spirit carp rods. Cheers & Merry Christmas mate

@@TLFarm no mate. The main match is not until March. We have one towards the end of January as a bit of a warm up. I have a side bet with Tim in the main match. He's bet me 1000 baht he will finish in the top three individually over the two days. Gonna be interesting and a lot of bants! 😁

Not many lakes have the numbers and size of the fish they do and the fact its not a big water you are always in the game mate, such a good water!!

Yes mate, for sure, I think the second biggest Mekong in the lake that Dan and myself amazingly had on the same day a couple of years ago would have been my PB, some lake is PTL!!

@@chrismackey4238 Hi Chris, cheers for the comment mate. We generally have all end tackle with us although you must make sure rhs hooks, braid and fake baits are authorised with the lake when you arrive it check the rules list for each before going. Pop ups wafters are brought from the UK and we normally take the corn with us mate. Hope this helps.

Yes mate, they are known as Giant Barb, they are still part of the carp family though, this is the defination from google: barb, (genus Barbus), any of numerous freshwater fishes belonging to a genus in the carp family, Cyprinidae.

Hello Clive, hope you are well mate, yes the vibes are amazing up on the dam, middle of nowhere and total peace and quiet. I have started a little project near my old lake castaway. Its called The Chill lake side, going to stock some pretty small fish and make a nice little 7 peg match lake. Denis Dixon has been down fishing the other lake there the last few weeks, hope you can be out for a match on it soon!! Vibes

@@jerseyroyal9427 boat ride is always a great part of the experience, not so nice on the way home before the 6 hour drive mind!! 😁 Such a great experience mate. Fishing can be tricky but we are still learning and hopefully improve each time we go.

@@JMcIntyre-n4s 😂 Dan loves them nandid perch. Always great fun watching him deal with them. It's the most beautiful place I have fished apart from possibly some of the fishing we did in India. Real wild experience in kanchanaburi mate. All anglers should give it a go. The catching is a bonus luckily!! 😁
