How many electric does this pump use a day on average?

Just fitted a new Salamander CT50 xtra yesterday but it will not turn on? I'm going to try this tomorrow on both sides

Does it have to be installed at the sink location or can it be installed in the airing cupboard on the pipe that leads to the sink?

Those pumps are way too noisy. I only turn mine on if the flow is desperate now. That’s how noisy they are, much improvement needed.

Reading a lot of reviews of this homeboost pump where the homeowner says it keeps tripping their electrics out.

How about some sort of fixing ? If needed ? Or will that cause everything to vibrate?

My Salmander pump was fine for about 4 years then recently it has started rattling really loud 2 minuets after turning it on and the rattle continues after I have turned the shower of for between 10 to 20 minuets, is that the valve or the pump fan it self ?.

How much does it cost to install? Do you have technicians?

got a small hotel 11 rooms mixture of showers and baths on a gravity fed system consisting of 2 hotwater tanks side by side fed from one attic tank would this help pressure?

Hi there, I have a CT 30 for 16 months now. Just realised having it kicking at seemingly random times is not a normal thing, but regardless since yesterday its noise has increased a lot and we smelled a bit of rubber in there too, any advice?

Hi .. I just installed two of these .. one to hot tap , one to cold. Both work very well.. the cold tap pump is all most silent … the hot tap pump (which has the least pressure before the pump fitting) is noticeably louder .. it’s not loud … but much louder than cold inlet pump … the cold is a very low hum sound .. the hot … is almost a whine type Noise ? Any ideas… if ran the system a lot to clear any air so don’t think k it’s that . Thank you *is it just that pump Is having to work harder ? I used two pumps to o make sure mixer tap would be balanced

We’ve just had a new bathroom fitted and the plumber admitted his ballsup. He plumbed the mains cold water @3bar to the mixer valve and gravity fed hot water supply. Excellent if you want a really cold shower! The pressure is terrible for a warm shower. Would fitting a full house salamander to the hot only (if possible) boost the hot to a better level so the mixer knows wtf is going on? 🤭

You can't get something for NOTHING.. I'm not a plumber but you can only either increased the volume or the a pressure or both . Physics.. It all depends on "why " you have little pressure in the first place in situations likes this.. Its not irrelevant. Its crucial unless you get lucky like this guy... A pump like this will always work if it's drawing water from.a deposit. Drip drip fill deposit at night, pump water unto you're house during the day.. That's what I've got. 1m³ Deposit (Don't drink it) Stagnant water can be a problem .. Also don't draw your water from the bottom of the deposit, that's where everything that isn't water ends up more ot less.. I'm off off grid, .. Ideally though just have your deposit Higher than your nuclear búnker and let gravity do the work. Gravity is free..

Good for the technical bits but what’s the point on advertising a quiet pump but you don’t give a demo of the actual sound!!

I installed one of these in a customer flat. It worked great to start with but not seeing tap is on and have to fun bath tap first to get it to see the drop in pressure. I've had a few salamander pumps fail to address this. The negative head pump failed after 13 months and far too expensive to replace, so opted for this booster. But again don't last long and are way over priced fir what they are constructed off

I’ve a Grundfos pump pressuring a shower, it’s a twin pump coming off a cylinder. Tap pressure has always been terrible, would i need another pump for the taps?

My pump won’t stop flowing cold water and only hot water works . Has the pump for 2 years my plumber can’t figure out what the issue is .I have cT50 . Cold water is running fine across the whole of the house but not my shower . Bought a new pump also but same issue

Help me please - I have one of your pumps and a fortic tank - I’m using the pump only for hot water throughout a flat. With the shower on the water goes through quite happily for a little while then the pump cuts out intermittently. Any advice greatly appreciated - it’s only been doing it recently

Will this boost the shower

We have 2 shower pumps from a single cylinder. One sits under the cylinder and supplies 2 ensuites. Another one sits under the family bath and supplies the bath and shower above. The plumber didn't install a flange as he didn't want to risk breaking the old cylinder ( that is what he claimed to!). The salamander plastic double impeller pump below the bath packed up in 6 months. Replaced with brass salamander pump now. The brass Stuart monsoon sitting at the bottom of the cylinder supplying 2 ensuites runs fine. We do worry running 3 showers ( living with 2 teenagers) simultaneously will empty the cylinder out😢.

Sorry if I missed any mention but did not think you were allowed to add a pump to mains cold as it can suck in nasties if there was a tiny leak in the pipe?

Hi, are you still answering questions here? I have a CT80B and only one hose in has a valve to turn the water off, the others dont. I have a stop cock on the hot water pipe luckily, and have cleaned the filter on that. The cold I donmt have astop cock on the pipe. Should the pump be supplied with valved hose connectors?

so I have the issue with my hot tap mostly, even downstairs in the kitchen. I think its partly to do with the mixer tap fitted but moreso the use of 8mm braided tails feeding hot and cold to it. Cold is fine, hot is poor. Would this pump still manage to improve my flow, I'm guessing it must!

My pump stop working on hot water 😢 cold is going all right. Filters all clean . Sometimes when i open cold water and turn it to hot one its going ok but when i try to open hot one straight its doesnt work 😞 got it brand new not even 2 years ago and now its giving us trouble 😢

Where to buy this one

If I turn my hot taps on (kitchen or bathroom) I have no hot water. But sometimes if I turn on my bath hot tap I get water flowing. And only then i can hear the pump active. TIA

Pump is very poor quality and break easily. Spent nearly 350 GBP on 30 TU pump and it only last 16 months. Very noisy since I started using this. Don't recommend.

What if your pump has been fitted without valve isolators? Do you have to empty the cistern and hot water tank to be able to get at the filters?

my pump doesn't always cut in? Sometimes we have to try maybe 20 times before it cuts in - once on it stays on until we turn off? Could it require a clean??

Hi, interested in purchasing one. But not sure which product is best for me. My kitchen tap has low pressure. If I buy the tap booster, will it only work for one side. I.e. hot, and cold will remain the same?

Sound should be better, it's hard to make out what you are saying.

Can i reduce the noise from the pump by placing a noise reduction mat under the pump? Will a mat fit in to that space under the pump and in the tray?

worst pump ever. Very noisy and cheap looking pump
