@riekusvanderwesthuizen471Ай бұрын

A beautiful gorgeous locomotive. I am partial to Garretts even though I am in the US. I sort of fancy a double K Mikado for the D&RGW that never was. The exhaust beats are only 1/2 of what they need to be for each engine unit revolution of the wheels to be correct. It does sound good though.

Looks really great. So nice to see the locos on a layout as opposed to the short length of track in the workshop where you could not get up to speed. I do not know if it is only me but from the side it almost looks like the wheels are up oof the track and the loco is traveling along on the diesel tanks.

Riekus, that is gonna look fantastic. To be very honest, if you never pointed these things out, I would be ignorant about it. You do make me wonder though, those scale flanged wheels - if there were a model using them that ran, no doubt they would need fine-scale track or something?
@riekusvanderwesthuizen4715 ай бұрын
Nah, there is no way you can run a scale flange. They are 1mm and because we have tighter radii than in real life, we have a lot riding on the flange. It will just push over. Minimum we can run is 2mm.
